Absolutely peaceful and beautiful place to stay if you’re wanting to explore the surrounding areas. Has everything you need and more. Really enjoyed the garden and patio area to unwind after a long day. Will definitely recommend! Thank you to our host for having us and making our trip that much more special.

The home is absolutely beautiful and the lay out is so perfect n spacious!! It’s located in a very quiet part of town away from all the riff raft but still close to any direction you’re heading. This place was amazing it had everything, all the essentials and then some! My friends and I really enjoyed our stay and loved this home!!

This was my family’s second time staying during spring break vacation and it was just as great as the first time. This time we brought our dog and accommodations were great. The house has easy access, quiet and peaceful. The living room television has been upgraded to a larger size which was awesome for our family movie nights on Netflix. Eric was very responsive when we had WiFi questions and welcoming at our independent check in. We look forward to another vacation here again.😊

Beautiful area and enjoyed our stay. This is a breathtaking drive in and would recommend planning to travel roads during day only. Winding curves & steep inclines/declines. Just take ur time & enjoy the ride! House has plenty of room & wonderful balcony & kitchen.

This is our 2nd visit to Lala’s house and we were so impressed. Lala has thought of everything, from the well stocked kitchen to the raincoats and cooler for picnics, we had everything needed to make my family’s stay comfortable. It is conveniently located just 30 minutes from the redwoods which is my favorite place on earth ❤️ Lala communicated with us throughout our stay to make sure all our needs were met. We will definitely be staying at this home again, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We stayed here for four nights and three days while visiting family in the area. We had sunny, warm weather during our visit, which enhanced the already beautiful view from the front porch, living and dining room of the Arcata Bay. The home is lovely; a beautiful craftsman; nicely furnished. We loved the kitchen and large dining table where we hosted a birthday dinner for seven. The primary suite is also large, as is the adjoining bath. My only complaint is the mattress was much too soft for my chronic back pain. Although the area is described as walkable, there are hills and walking may not be easy for everyone. We will definitely recommend this place to other family members visiting the area.

The place feels spacious and light. Neighborhood was quiet. It was quite clean. I came to Arcata for work and for my purposes, it was well suited. I would definitely stay there again.

Barry‘s place was absolutely wonderful. Barry and his wife were just the sweetest couple who made us feel very welcomed and right at home. I think the place looks better than the photos when we walked in. I was in awe of how great it looked. Arcadia is overall just such a beautiful place and I have nostalgia when I’m there cause I went to college there.The sheets were very clean and you could tell that they had been bleached. There were plenty of linens and towels available, the sweetest touch was that they left Staples like butter, eggs, and muffins in the fridge so that we had breakfast the next morning even if we didn’t have time to go grocery shopping the night that we arrived.

Very impressed, extremely clean, all amenities had been thought of. Beds, so comfortable. Cut my finger and there were bandages. Towels were so nice. We were very impressed overall. Not one thing to complain about. If we owned an Air B&B we would only hope it was this nice. Truly a great place. Plan on staying again.

Great place to stay for a family of three or four. Michelle was super responsive and was flexible with us checking in late. Both the bed and the sleeping sofa were comfortable. Would recommend when visiting Redwood.

Comfortable home and perfect location.

Bob and his wife are extremely responsive. the place was exactly as described. It is perfect landing spot after active days exploring the area and is an easy walk go town.

Tia's apartment was the perfect place to call home while my husband and I visited the area for a hiking trip. Perfectly clean and cozy! Exactly as described in the listing, and Tia was very proactive in sending us checkin instructions and making sure we had everything we needed. And we loved having plenty of supplies in the kitchen to cook some meals (there's a great organic co-op just down the street). We're already looking forward to visiting again! Definitely stay here if you're looking for the convenience of being right in old town Eureka + close to so many beautiful places to explore.

Great location with nice cozy rooms. Great spot to recover after doing the LCT. Staff was friendly and helpful. Next time im in the "Cove" I will for sure be staying here.

Loved our stay at Shelter Cove, the views were unbeatable and it was also a great night for stargazing. We enjoyed the balcony and the jacuzzi in the living room that looked out into the ocean. Everything was incredible comfortable, we would definitely stay here again.

A great cozy stay with beautiful views and surroundings. The inside was nice and clean with plenty of amenities. The sounds of the oceans were peaceful. The sunset over the ocean was beautiful. The hot tub is a great addition. Would definitely stay there again.

This was our first time. After reading all the reviews this place did not disappoint. It was very clean, quiet and the views were breathtaking. There is a place to eat next door that is fantastic. I highly recommend the eggs Benedict. The drive in was absolutely beautiful with all the trees. Our stay was exactly what we needed. I look forward to going back.

Bob and I took off our hosting hats and put on our traveling hats for this birthday getaway. We love Eureka and have found a new place to put on our favorite list. This Airbnb is everything you would expect from a five star Airbnb. Great location right on the water with beautiful views, secure building, all the amenities inside that you would expect, clean and well appointed… I could go on and on and on. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!
