Welcome to Forest Retreat! We are nestled in the hills of Western New York, 23 miles to Chautauqua Lake and 14 miles to Lily Dale. This unique home is near several wedding venues and the Earl Cardot Overland Trail, which is surrounded by 2,300 acres of state forest. We are located between 2 local ski resorts, and only 87 miles south of Niagara Falls State park. Relax by the fire, kayak, or fish in the 2 acre pond and just enjoy the scenery. We do require a signed waiver to utilize the pond.

Five minutes from Chautauqua Lake and the snowmobile trails run off our backyard. Spacious home with large family room kitchen combo with eat at bar. 2+ acres so bring your lawn games! Grill and picnic table on back deck then enjoy s'more at the fire ring. Lots of wildlife to observe and beautiful sunsets! Plenty of parking for boats and snowmobiles.

Enjoy a peaceful stay in this cozy cabin on a quiet dead end street. With Snug Harbor Marina just a few minute walk down the street, Chautauqua Lake is right at your fingertips! Enjoy cooking outdoors with the BBQ grill, or make use of the full indoor kitchen. Create memories with the family while roasting s'mores around the gas fire pit and snuggling up with one of the board games provided. Snowmobilers can access the trail a couple miles away by road or by trailering to the Mayville Town Park.

Chautauqua Lake: beautiful 2 bedroom cottage!

This charming smoke and pet free two bedroom heat and a/c cottage is a short walk to the lake with small boat and swimming access. A minimum 2 night stay will sleep a maximum of 5 and provides enough room to relax if weather is inclement. Spacious yard with amenities for an evening campfire, and gas grill for those picnic meals. Bring food, personal needs, and clothes and you're ready to stay. The area is packed with fun sights, restaurants and activities. We do not provide a dock or dockage.

Lakefront w Dock-Pets OK-Amazing Views-Large Deck

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful, lakefront oasis surrounded by mature trees. The second story porch offers plenty of room for outdoor dining with views of some of the best sunsets on Chautauqua Lake. You'll enjoy close to 100' of lakefront on Tinkertown Bay directly across from Chautauqua Institution. Bring your boat along to our dock (shared with neighbors) or roast some s'mores at the firepit next to the shore. Dock install is scheduled for 5/2/26 and is usually removed mid-Oct.

Vehicle parking, boat dock on Big Inlet creek, near breweries, winery's, restaurants, fishing, skiing, snowmobile trail, and more. Snowmobile trail and ice fishing access. Chautauqua Lake is a .5 mi walk and CHQ Institution main gate is 4 miles away.
