Your accommodation was once the sheep shed, now beautifully renovated to provide a tranquil, south facing retreat for 2 people, with stunning views across the Cushnie valley and over to the Corennie hills. Rural Donside offers visitors an idyllic holiday location with plenty of local amenities and beautiful scenery. Alford is nearest village with shops, PO, restaurants/cafes, takeaways ,pubs, museums, swimming pool, dry ski slope and a golf course. Tarland trails for MTB is 15 mins drive away.

Old Mains Cottage is a traditional character dwelling that has been extensively modernised. Originally it was the laundry of the mansion house that once stood in the adjacent woods. The cottage stands in its own private grounds & is accessed via a private road. There are two dedicated parking spaces at the front of the property. Unique turret annex in Upper Donside

Our bright yellow Broom now out! Situated in the Cairngorms National Park in Strathdon, a short walk away from the hamlet of Bellabeg. The Turret offers a tranquil setting in 2.5 acres of private woodland, it has its own entrance and is a self-contained totally sound insulated annex to the main house (where the owners live). The setting has spectacular south facing views of the Deeside hills and is surrounded by farmland and wildlife. Completely off the beaten track with glorious dark skies.

The Farm Bothy Cottage

The Farm Bothy cottage offers luxury accommodation on a working sheep farm. It is self-contained, within a modern steading/barn conversion. We live in the other wing of the house. You can explore the farm, woodlands and our garden. Ideally located for visiting nearby castles and distilleries the area also has great cycling, golfing, fishing and horse-riding. Our local pub is a mile away. The nearest town, Alford, has a pub, restaurant, shops, supermarket, parks and museums.

Ballintober, Glenmuick Estate

Ballintober is a magical woodland cottage in the heart of the Glenmuick estate and provides the perfect base from which to explore Royal Deeside. This beautifully renovated cottage has three Double/Twin Bedrooms with a Bathroom, open plan Kitchen/Dining Room, Sitting Room and separate Shower Room. The Sitting Room has a cosy open fireplace, WiFi and a Digital TV with DVD player. All heating, linen, towels and logs are provided. A Cot and High Chair can be provided on request.

Our guest suite extension to our house is a self-contained area with 1 double bedroom (can be twin beds), 1 shower room and a kitchen/lounge room. The suite has under-floor central heating. Our property has a large garden and a patio area and there is a dedicated off-road parking space for guests. We are in a rural setting, 1 mile from the centre of Aboyne, 30 miles from Aberdeen; ideal location for touring Deeside, South Aberdeenshire and the Cairngorm National Park.
