It was a peaceful retreat, providing a cozy stay! We loved how set back it was and the kids even saw an eagle. Rachel and Ivan were wonderful hosts and always available for questions. We loved staying here.

It was our first trip to the area and so glad we stayed here—we enjoyed the view of the lake from the property , catching the sunset by the water’s edge, and exploring the area. We look forward to returning.

This place is amazing! Truly peaceful setting. It was perfect sitting in the hot tub and listening to the waves from the lake. The sauna was hot and easy to use. It's a short walk down to the lake and the view is breath taking. The house had everything we needed. The downstairs bed was very comfortable and nice linens. Kelly recommended several local restaurants that were good. We also went to Michael's Steakhouse in Indian River and the food there was amazing! Kelly was a great resource and helped make our trip perfect! We will definitely stay here again.

Valeria and Roger's lot and room above the garage felt like a little oasis on the lake that became our home away from home! The place was the cleanest AirBNB I've ever stayed at and included games to play, a TV with streaming options and AC that saved us on a 90+ degree day. There were multiple cute local restaurants within 30mins away to get breakfast or ice cream. Notably, when the door battery ran out and we were locked out with a piping hot pizza, Roger and Valerie responded quickly to get the battery changed and got us back inside. I cannot thank them enough for offering us their lil home where my bf and I were able to come and go as we please and enjoy an entire bathroom, mini kitchen and living room all in one place. I would come back in an instant!

Snowmobile Friendly! Easy trail access via riding crossing M-68 , riding south to the dead end of Forest Trail Rd, 100 yards south through the woods, and you pop out right on the trail. 10 min trail ride to BP gas station in Indian River with easy access off the trail. Driveway fit our 3 trucks with our 4, 3, and 2-place trailers. House held 8 people easily at the kitchen table for meals and cards/games. Cooked breakfast one morning and used the cooking and cleaning appliances as well. Living room is cozy for reading & coffee in the morning and watching the snow fall over that amazing lake view. Hosts were responsive in answered all of my questions before and during check in. 4 private bedrooms after a long day on the trails and spending time with great friends. Wilson's Rivers Edge for breakfast and Vivio's for dinner both very close and very good. Worked with host on an early check in for a little extra $ (fair). Will definitely be back if/when I.R. gets snow again in the future.

Stayed at the Lilly Pad for the trout opener with my son and some friends. We love the cottage and it's location close to the Sturgeon and Pigeon rivers. This is our second time staying at the Lilly Pad - never disappoints.

Wow, Sturgeon’s Return is such a charming cabin! 🏠 We were lucky to stay here during fall, and the cozy atmosphere was just perfect for our trip. The vintage decor gave it so much character, I loved it so much, and Stacey had thoughtfully provided all the amenities we could possibly need. 🍁 We had an amazing time and honestly didn't want to leave! 🥰 Can't wait to come back - this place is an absolute gem! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This stay was a 10/10. My group and I have stayed in Indian River for a few years now for the 4th of July and this is by far our favorite spot we’ve booked! It’s right on the Indian river and super close to a boat launch. It had ample space for docking our boats. We fished the whole weekend, even the neighbors were super friendly. Over all great place, everything was as expected and it’s super close to town.

Charlie’s house is the perfect location for snowmobiling, as the trail is probably less than 100 feet from the driveway and only a few miles south of Indian River. Our group consisted of 3 guys, we found the house to be adequately sized and enjoyed hanging around the bar after a day of riding. Charlie was out clearing snow off the driveway when we arrived in the middle of a lake effect storm, and he greeted us like a friendly Midwest neighbor. His communication was excellent and he shared clear and concise instructions for accessing and using the property. We would not hesitate to book Charlie’s house again, should we decide to make another trip to this area.
