The cottage has been renovated in a modern contemporary style. The main bedrooms have furniture from Lombok.The furniture is complimented by bed linen from the white company giving an overall luxurious and classy feel to the accommodation. The suspended fire in the lounge is a focal point and is enjoyed from the comfort of the large L shaped pink couch.Sitting under the stars in the hot tub really gives you the feeling that you are on holiday and is a restorative treat after being at the beach.

Beautiful guest house just outside Umberleigh in North Devon, in the heart of the Taw Valley. Our guest house is situated atop a hill with panoramic views of the surrounding scenery and historic Tarka Trail. Fully self-contained building, patio and parking area. Woolstone Cottage is situated in the hillside village of Ashford with views over The River Taw. It is a 10 minute walk from The Tarka Trail with traffic free cycling, walking and running alongside the river. The trail connects to the market town of Barnstaple and the village of Braunton with its surf shops and cafes. The Heanton Court Inn is within walking distance along the trail. Saunton Sands beach is only a 15 minute drive with its three and half miles of golden sands and surf.

Skirr Cottage was the home of the acclaimed writer Henry Williamson who is best known as the author of Tarka the Otter. With its pretty whitewashed exterior the cottage is set next to a trickling stream next to the historic Norman church of St. George in the heart of Georgeham village. Putsborough surfing beach is a 25 minute walk via fields or via a lane. or 5 minute drive. The Kings Arms and 17th century Rock Inn serving gastro pub food are 1 minute and a 4 minute walk away.

200 Year Old Riverside Cottage + Garden

Our riverside cottage is close to everything you need in the lovely village of Braunton, yet feels a million miles from everyday life. This is a 200 year old cottage with a cosy contemporary feel. We have 2 double rooms with an extra fold out bed/ travel cot possible. This makes a perfect base to surf, walk, cycle (right next to the Tarka trail) or just chill in the lovely garden or in front of the woodburner. Couples, friends, children and a well behaved dog all welcome.

The Chiggypig is a converted detached annex situated in the grounds of our Victorian home. It was previously an old coach house which we completely renovated into a contemporary living space in 2018. Its elevated position offers views across to Appledore, Hartland Point and Saunton. Decorated to a high spec, it is designed and suitable for couples or a single person looking for a peaceful break away on this gorgeous North Devon coastline.

Just a short drive and you will have access to Saunton beach and Croyde beach. We welcome your pets to enjoy a holiday too. We love this cottage and we know you will too. The garden side is separate from the house however is delightful to sit and enjoy a lovely sundowner.
