Lori’s is exactly what we need while visiting family over a holiday. She is very gracious to host us over Thanksgiving as the last occupants of the year. Even during a snow storm, her place is cosy and beautiful. This is our second year coming, and we love it every time. We would recommend it for those looking for a charming getaway from busy life. We had a great late October stay for our honeymoon. The cabin was definitely warm enough for the 30 degree temperatures. Hot tub was amazing, that was clean as well. The outdoor kitchen was very convenient, even when it rains the kitchen is still covered. We had an amazing stay, will be visiting again!

Just returned from the most fantastic 2 weeks exploring the US which included a weeks stay at Kiwi Lodge. Where to start? This was exactly as described and the perfect base for exploring Maine. The property was spotless and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. 3 beautiful bedrooms, 2 great sized bathrooms, wonderful living area and kitchen and fantastic games room. Hot tub was brilliant. The location on the lake is just perfect, we had the lake to ourselves and took the canoe out. Nearest town of Farmington has all the shops and cafes you’d need. The communication from Kay was great from the day we booked, and recommendations we took her up on were all absolutely spot on. Thank you Kay and thank you Kiwi Lodge for a holiday to remember!

Such a beautiful and quaint cabin with an incredible Mountain View! Clean and up to temp hot tub, lovely fire pit and comfortable Adirondacks to relax and enjoy the tranquility. Cabin was warm and well decorated, comfortable bed with soft linens, and just the right touches in the kitchen like fresh coffee and creamers in the fridge. I was a little wary of a “outhouse“ but it was warm and super clean with plenty of hot water and plenty of towels! We will absolutely stay again!

My wife and I had an amazing time! We were looking to relax for a few days and this was the place! The peaceful environment and welcoming house made it very easy to unwind and escape from our busy lives. Lisa was also very responsive whenever we had any questions!

Even though we had a gray and rainy weekend, our stay at Misty‘s cozy cottage No. 3 was fantastic. The rain provided a perfect backdrop for a lazy, relaxing cozy weekend, enjoying the fire pit between showers and soaking in the hot tub while unwinding. The cottage had everything you need for a minimalistic little getaway. Misty was great. Super polite, friendly and communicative. The perfect little getaway, we’ll be making the trip back in the future for sure. 😊

We cozied in for a couple of days, highlights were playing board games and the hot tub on the deck. Pretty pond just steps away. The heart of the cabin is the back deck.

The location is magical . Loved waking up and seeing the scenery. The trail was really well maintained given all the snow. We've had a wonderful hike to the pond seeing only nature, not one person on the trail. It was fun stopping and trying to identify all kinds of animal tracks along the path. We are thinking of coming back in the spring or summer. Thank you for muffins Toby and Peter!!!

We had a wonderful visit at Caitlin’s cozy cabin! Loved watching the sunrise in the morning from the front porch and winding down with a glass of wine in the evening outside. Caitlin and Jackie were both very responsive and great hosts - will be staying here again!

Our family of six (12, 10, 8, and 6 y/o) couldn't have asked for a better weekend! The views from the cabin were phenomenal. After a stunning sunset on Thursday night, we enjoyed a camp fire and then stayed up late counting satellites and shooting stars. Our kids had never seen the Milky Way before and the low ambient light provided them with their first look. Friday was gem mining in town, a visit to a local apple orchard, and then apple cobbler back at the cabin. Yum! Kids enjoyed building forts in the woods, playing football out front, and our daily hikes. Cabin was very clean and all appliances worked without issues. Definitely recommend!

I loved this place! Enjoying coffee and meals outside on the deck overlooking the lake and beautiful surroundings of nature. I felt safe there and was a charming neighborhood. I loved that there were boats to use and a dock to watch sunset an autumn harvest moon over lake! Jess was the perfect host and made sure everything was great when I arrived. She was very helpful when I had any questions and I am looking so forward to going back there again! Thank you Jess for sharing this wonderful place!!!

This cabin was a wonderful place to spend the week, and I couldn’t be more happy. The hosts were communicative and friendly; offering great local recommendations. My girlfriend and I would be more than happy to stay here again!

Kim's place felt like camping out, in a great way. We love the little three stringed dulcimer and cooking hot dogs on the campfire. The beds were comfortable! Thank you, Kim!

We have rented this adorable log cabin many times and look forward to our next visit! The host is very responsive and friendly and we can not recommend this lovely stay enough.

We came up skiing with our 11 year old kids and felt right at home. The cabin is very cozy and warm, all wood and tastefully decorated. It's the perfect get-away for skiing in the winter, or anything nature in the summer. The boys loved sleeping in the loft, extra bonus with kids old enough to climb up the ladder. Communication with Emily was easy and instant. We enjoyed every bit of our trip to Maine!

We had a freaking BLAST at the Roxie tiny cabin. It is extremely admirable how much fun Sherri and Joel have managed to pack into a small space without making it feel cluttered or crowded at all. We loved using the two hammock chairs, cooking over the fire (so many great cooking tools here!) and slept great. Getting to paddleboard around the lake to see turtles and other wildlife was an added plus. I am now addicted to axe throwing as well :) great spot run by wonderful people

Peaceful cabin in the woods, easy to find and deep enough in the woods that you feel like you are far from everything so no noise and lota of stars. But town is just about 10 mins away.

Pamela was extremely helpful and accommodating. The place was cute, cozy and clean. Can’t wait to go back next year.

Such an amazing private, quiet place with breathtaking views! If your one with nature then this is the place to go, from its off the grid living ( no power and no running water) then this is a palace! Wood stove heating that keep us toasty during the Valentines weekend storm of 2025! Will definitely be returning in the future!!

If you are looking for a perfect Waldenesque retreat for a few days THIS IS IT. Perfect for those who appreciate the beautiful quiet of life on a marine estuary, who are looking to camp-glamp without intrusion, yet also not ready for a truly remote location (you can get to the charming town of Bath in 15 minutes!). I sincerely hope to return.

Marie & Tim were excellent hosts. So friendly, detailed, accommodating, and their recommendations were excellent. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and to make sure you have everything you need, and more. The cabin is a beautiful, rustic cabin with all the feelings of home. The furnishings and décor made it so perfect. On approach to the property, the lighting and appearance is so beautiful. It was like driving into wonderland. I hated having to go home! I wanted to stay forever! I cannot wait to go back! Thank you Marie & Tim!

We had a very restful three days at Rod’s lovely cabin. This is a fantastic place to stay for those seeking to experience the midcoast area for what it is (without all the tourist traps and hustle and bustle that you’ll find in Bar Harbor area). Don’t sleep on this gem!

We love Katharine’s cabin! This is our second year and we plan to make it a tradition. It’s just a great location, and the cabin makes you feel right at home. It’s easy to disconnect and just take Boothsbay in! Thank you for having us!
