Cozy peaceful place with a horse farm next to the house. It is perfectly fit with my family group of 8 adults plus 1 child. The house is clean and tidy. The kitchen is fully equipped with all we need for cookings. The host is helpful and super friendly with prompt responses to our questions. He even comes visiting in-person to help us on BBQ set up. We had a great stay!

This is a lovely place to stay, and superbly located for visiting Thingveller National Park, Kerid crater, Gullfoss waterfalls and the Geysirs. Rather than long drives from Reykjavik, it was so much nicer to stay in location. The kitchen itself looks fairly new and the induction hob is perfect. Cooking was quick and easy, but the knives do need a bit of sharpening!! The entire place is big, spacious and airy with large windows giving beautiful views of the countryside around. The hot tub is sensational and was a massive pleasure for all of us - we were even able to see the Northern Lights from our hot tub which made for an amazing memory. It was a lovely place to stay in.

Die Unterkunft ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt um verschiedene Orte des Golden Circles zu besuchen. Bei Schlechtwetter lässt es sich ebenfalls prima im gemütlichen Haus verweilen. Die Waschmaschine war für uns ein grosses Plus.

Excellently located for short drive to most key attractions within the golden circle. Very quiet and away from the main towns so perfect for seeing the northern lights. Spacious modern house with everything we need. Dóróthea and Baldur were perfect hosts and very responsive. We must come back here!

Really beautiful cabin in a perfect location. Good point to travel around the south from. Clean, very spacious and well laid out. Much bigger than I expected. Really good quality furniture and fittings. Lovely and warm at the end of a busy day exploring. Managed to watch a brilliant show of the northern lights from the decking. Would highly recommend.

We really loved the house—it’s very cozy and warm! The best part was being able to enjoy the hot tub and barbecue in the evenings. The location is also great, just a 30-minute drive from the Golden Circle in Iceland. We were very happy with our stay and will definitely come back in the future!

Everything was great when we came, beautiful summerhouse with loads to do both outside and inside. If we had any questions we called and asked and it was no problem for them to answer me straight away. Very nice and helpful people that own the place and we will come again😊

Stunning view. A classic A-frame cabin. Soooo quiet and peaceful. Peaceful. Easy to walk to the restaurant and if you choose, walk to the little communities nearby, including farms and the local church. It's a cabin in the golden circle. Don't be a jerk. Appreciate. We are all lucky to experience this. And if you ask a question, Jake ANSWERS you almost immediately. But really... the porch overlooking the valley... and the AMAZING outdoor shower with hot water from the local geothermal station. SHUT UP if you don't appreciate how special this is. Therapeutic. Ahhhhhhhh. We stayed up late and saw the northern lights. Doesn't get better for peace and authentic. Thanks Jake!!!! 😁

Our stay was perfect. The cabin was great and exactly as shown in the pictures. The place was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances for a small kitchen. Eggert was quick to respond and check-in was easy and smooth. Great overall experience and would definitely recommend this place.

Our stay at the cottage was AB-SO-LU-TE heaven! The cottage is very conveniently located (just about a mile from Geysir Center and a mere 10 minute drive to Gullfoss waterfall). It boasts everything we could possibly wish for (O.K., we never switched on the huge T.V. set, but we used the Spotify/internet radio combo to listen to some music plus the internet connection seems to be pretty high speed!). The kitchen is extremely well equipped with every possible tool and machine (barista-style coffee machine, blender, waffle iron, water cooker, BBQ, toaster, etc.). The pictures here on AirBnB are very accurate to what one can expect at the cottage. Even though it was freezing cold and windy outside we got soaked in the nice jacuzzi outside and enjoyed ourselves tremendously. The newly installed rain shower in the bathroom was also very cool - and for those who stay longer there is even a brand new washing machine available. The beds are out of this world. We all slept like babies. Too bad we could not take the mattresses back home ;-) Communication with Páll was very, very easy. He was always available (and he even inquired if everything is fine after the big snowstorm that hit Iceland during our stay), communicating with him was a pleasure. Plus: He was extremely easy-going, flexible and generous when it came to postponing our original reservation due to unforseeable circumstances. All in all: We would give Páll and the cottage 7 stars if that was possible! Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your wonderful place! We'll be back!

Stefan was great host, helped us as much as he could with recommendations and provided clear instructions on how to reach out his place and use it best way as possible-we truly appreciate and recommend!

Over the top effort to make the home lovely, comfortable, and packed with every imaginable kitchen appliance, cooking utensil, pots & pans, and dinnerware, Netflix, Prime video and much more.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La maison est très fonctionnelle et très bien équipée. Le jacuzzi est très appréciable. L’environnement est magnifique et la maison tellement cocoon ! On s’y sent très bien, un vrai havre de paix pour les vacances. En plus de cela, elle est très bien située pour le secteur du cercle d’or. Bien sûr, il vous faudra compter 2h de route pour rejoindre le sud de l’île jusque Vik par exemple. Nous recommandons ++ Merci à notre hôte Thorsteinn qui est très réactif et serviable.

Das Haus von Helga ist wunderschön inmitten der Natur und leicht zu finden, wenn man den Anweisungen folgt. Es gibt mehrere Möglichkeiten für Ausflüge in der Nähe, dabei hat Helga uns gute Tipps gegeben. Am besten hat uns der Ausflug nach Burfellskogur gefallen, der nur 10 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt ist und rechts der Brücke vom Pjofafoss beginnt.

Wir waren 10 Tage in dem schönen Ferienhaus und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist sehr gut ausgestattet und ein besonderes Highlight ist der Hotpod und der Coldpod und die Außendusche:-)

die Lage und Aussicht ist traumhaft! kleine aber feine Ausstattung der Wohnung mit der ein Aufenthalt länger als eine Woche kein Problem ist ! sehr zu empfehlen

This is a lovely private cabin near the center of Laugarvatn. We had a little trouble finding it but when we called Edda and Karl they were very responsive and helpful. The hot tub is great and their sunroom is so cozy with wonderful views. Our sons loved the old Nintendo!!

Échanges très fluides et agréables avec Jòn. Il nous a d’ailleurs alertés le dernier jour sur les difficultés climatiques et nous a proposé de rester plus longtemps dans le logement le temps de laisser passer la tempête, nous avons beaucoup apprécié. La cabane est confortable, il y fait chaud et elle est bien équipée (noté juste pour vos éventuelles courses qu’il n’y a pas de micro-onde ni de four!). On pensait que la cabane était totalement isolée mais il y a deux infrastructures très proches de la cabane et qui émettent pour l’une beaucoup de lumière, on perd un peu la sensation d’isolement. Nous avons passé un bon séjour dans cette cabane sous la neige!

Very peaceful and homely cabin in beautiful surroundings. Svanna is very helpful and the cabin is well kept and cosy. Rural location - we were lucky enough to catch the northern lights 4 nights in a row! Would happily stay again, thank you ☺️
