Paul's house was everything I needed for a quiet weekend with the kids. The house is cozy, easy to keep organized, and well lit. The view of the lake is the cherry on the cake. The backyard is huge, so my kids had plenty of time to play outside. The neighbors are very nice and quiet. I've never slept in a house as quiet as this one. Paul is very kind and helpful. I will definitely be back.

We went in February. Even with snow no problem to drive to the house. It is perfectly located. Remote but still close enough to everything. It is close to nice hikes. We would love to come back in the Summer or so as it has its own lake access. Kitchen is perfectly equipped if you like to cook. I always like if you have a separate dinning table - to eat, work, talk. All very clean with personal touches. We can just recommend the place highly. And Jaclyn was a great host - she gave us some flexibility with checkout but also was vey responsive. Thanks a lot!

We stayed here on our way to Stowe to break up our long drive with an 8 and 2 year old. It ended up being a wonderful mini trip that we didn't want to leave. The house exceeded our expectations in terms of quality, cleanliness, and amenities. And the location was excellent - about 10 to 12 min to the nearest grocery store and downtown with restaurants, Edith Wharton's estate about 20 min away, and Great Barrington/Stockbridge were easily accessible for day trips. We plan to come back for skiing, and to take advantage of the lake activities in the summer. The only downside was the busy road, as mentioned in the listing, but the traffic quieted down in the evening and it didn't affect our sleep at night with the bedrooms located in the back of the house (husband is a very light sleeper; we did bring and use sound machines just in case).

I want to say thank you to Christopher and his family for allowing my friends and me to stay in their home. it was clean, beautiful, serene and exactly what it was described to be. Christopher, your suggestions on golf courses for my friends and me were exceptional. I hope we were as good of guests as you were hosts!

The Hygge House was a lovely spot to spend my birthday weekend with my family and friends. We took advantage of so many close-by activities. But the highlights were at the house itself - paddling the canoe and kayak through the water, outdoor dinner, and s’mores at the fire pit. Jessica was also so easy to communicate with and super accommodating during a personal emergency we experienced. We loved our stay and would love to come back again soon.

The place was incredibly beautiful. The photos did not do it justice. It is in the middle of nowhere. Tina was very detailed in her instruction and one of them was that you must bring groceries because the closest grocery store is 30 minutes away. If you decide to book this place, read her detailed instructions. They are very helpful. The home offered a full kitchen which made it so easy for us to prepared our family's meals without struggling. The hot tub was such a treat. The basement had lots of games, a couch to launch and another TV. Perfect if you come with children. We were seven adults and we did not feel that we where on top of each other. The high ceiling truly made one of our boys (the giant) feel at home. Even the basement had a high ceiling. Pretty cool. Tina was incredibly nice and flexible. Check in is at 4 pm and we arrived earlier. We decided to contact her to see if it would be okay to check in earlier and she accommodated us. Thank you soooo much.

Daphne is a thoughtful and wonderful host. The property was clean, comfortable and very well appointed with everything I would need, especially in the kitchen. I highly recommend this 5-star property. It is quiet, peaceful and full of nature everywhere the eye can see.

A group of nine old college friends met at this lovely location for a weekend reunion. The house is exactly how it is described and incredibly clean and charming. The hosts were very communicative and incredibly accommodating. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook and feel right at home. The dining room is a beautiful space to gather and the whole house is comfortable, clean and inviting. We love that everyone had their own room and the bathrooms were incredibly clean with lots of extra products on hand. The bedrooms were streamlined without a lot of clutter and very comfortable beds. Everyone in our group remarked that they had a great night sleep. The house has a very interesting history and although it is an older home the owners did a fabulous job with updates and still kept all the original charm and character. Although the weather didn't fully cooperate, we were able to take a beautiful hike close by. We hope to get the chance to stay again next year

I cannot thank Joyce enough for opening her lovely home to us. We felt relaxed and refreshed from the minute we arrived. Whether it was sipping coffee and reading by the pond or watching our beagle explore the grounds, I don't think the smile left my face. Joyce was so helpful with recommendations and available to answer any questions we might have had. The proximity to Great Barrington and Stockbridge was fantastic but the local Hillsdale attractions should be missed. We'll absolutely stay here again! Love this house.

We loved our stay at Julie and Russel’s cabin! It was exactly what we were looking for- cute rustic cabin with plenty of room for us and our dogs. Loved the home-y decor, and it was fairly well equipped with miscellaneous kitchen and bath supplies (even board games!). Very private area during our trip in the fall, and would love to come back in the summer and make use of the beach!

Jane's cabin was just as described. peaceful location with beautiful views.

The cottage is clean and comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. This is a nice place to serve as home base to explore all that the Berkshires have to offer.

The cottage was easy to check into, clean, and very cozy. It was decorated for the holidays which was perfect for our weekend. We enjoyed the fireplace and the games in the cabin as well! I would consider coming back in the summer to enjoy the outdoor area and lake. Ann-Marie and Carl provided really helpful instructions on how to get to the house.

Loved the quick weekend getaway from the city! Wanted somewhere we could stretch out into.. which Ayren’s house fully is.. loved playing the many board games provided and watching movies in the late evenings.. plus a few walks down to the lake and drive to town which is less than 15 min away.. A very communicative host with clear instructions and well laid out amenities and basic kitchen condiments.. Thanks again for a great weekend !

Darcy is a top host. We loved the in-wall USB chargers and the bluetooth speaker, the welcoming wine, the beautiful layout and decor, the cozy feeling with lots of space for us to sprawl out and the high quality of the renovation. I felt secure and cozy and everything from the hot tub to the sheets were super clean and fresh. We will be back in the summer for kayaking on the lake. Thank you Darcy!

The setting on the lake was just gorgeous, and the accommodations were immaculate. It is definitely off the beaten path but within driving distance to Berkshires attractions like Tanglewood, museums etc. If it’s R&R you’re seeking, then this is the place for you!

What a fun and lovely place with a pleasant and thoughtful host. Peaceful and relaxing at night and lots to do during the day. Comfy beds, nice clean linens and great kitchen supplies and outdoor grill and fire pits. If you just want to chill or are into outdoor recreation its a winner. So, much to do. Tons of biking trails, great lakes for picnicking swimming, fishing, boating, jet ski. Also, rock climbing, and aerial parks are all close by, like 10-15 minutes away. A few places rent bikes too. Fresh produce and farms are near by as well. Big Y and Walmart are about 20 minutes away for whatever else you need. The cabin is vey quant. It seemed a little smaller than pictured at first but, is very well thought out and makes great use of space. Our family had 10 in all - a 6, a 7, two 13 year olds and 6 adults and we were all very comfortable. We had a blast. Highly recommend.

Peaceful quiet private New England home with thoughtful updates. The Fall chill went quickly on arrival and the rest of. the was cozy warm. Great wifi.

We had a lovely stay in Richard's cabin. The house is very spacious, and perfect to spend times with friends and family. Richard was very responsive and welcoming. I highly recommend!

We came to Otis with our 3 young children with the plan for them to learn to ski at the nearby ski school/mountain. We had a wonderful time and John and Loren’s house was perfect for us. They are lovely, accessible and accommodating hosts! We had the good luck of a snowy weekend and the cabin and property were just gorgeous. The cabin is simple, but very comfortable and we enjoyed how cozy it felt. Our kids slept well and and had so much fun, so did we!

Mary’s place is truly magical. It’s the perfect spot for a family to enjoy the lake and each other. Most of all, Mary and her family are exceptional people, and we enjoyed getting to know them and felt very lucky to be in their special spot. We cannot recommend this place enough!

What a beautiful home in a gorgeous setting. We unfortunately got caught in a winter storm during our stay. Christina went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of during the inclement weather. We will definitely stay here again!

I was sad to leave this cottage! It was a wonderful extended stay. I loved doing my rope flow in the sunshine on the grass, doing yoga on the screened in porch, knitting in the Adirondack chairs on the lawn and making some meals in the quaint kitchen. We were able to easily explore the area and enjoy some beautiful hikes and drives nearby. The neighborhood is so peaceful and quiet with plenty of critters scurrying about (though we didn’t get to see any larger animals), and the lake is a short walk away. Christine was such a wonderful host making us feel right at home. I highly recommend this gem and hope to be back.
