Only 3 miles away is the historic Market town of Howden with it's great range of shops, cafes and bars. Laxton is an ideal base for exploring East or North Yorkshire.

‘The Apple Chamber’ is a two-bed apartment (double bed and sofa bed) in a delightful 16th century Grade 2 listed farmhouse, situated in the semi-rural village of Hatfield Woodhouse.   In years gone by, the Apple Chamber was the farm’s servant’s quarters as well as being used to store fruit through winter, which is where the name originates. Outdoor pot washing facilities and dining area. A perfect off grid stay. Our smallholding has sheep, goats and chickens which graze often in the meadow depending on the season. Sherwood Forest and Sherwood Pines are all within walking/cycle distance.
