The History of our Cabin started as Hoss's Country Store where we provided a general store for our community and the guests visiting our beautiful area next to the National Forest. We have always felt that taking care of our family and friends were the top priority. Take a moment to disconnect from the world and spend some time in a quiet rural area surrounded by the majestic Ouachita mountains and watch the sunset from the backyard. The D bar D farmhouse is a cozy, family-friendly house that is literally located on a family farm. Less than .25 miles down the road you will find an access point to enjoy the peaceful Ouachita river or drive a short 30 minutes to Wolf Pen Gap to ride ATVs or find Irons Fork Lake 6 miles away to take in nature and fish.

The Cottage at Acorn is located in the Heart of the Ouachita Mountains and only 4 miles to Mena. The Cottage is a double cylinder block mother-in-law suite, with concrete floors, pine ceilings and vintage decorations. Walking distance from a playground, walking track, and Veterans Memorial Park. Covered concrete parking (with a basketball goal) and an outdoor covered patio makes a good sitting area. There are 2 entrances, please use The Veterans Memorial Park entrance.

Either way, you will find a peaceful stay here! From the town of Mena, AR it is about a 15 minute drive to the property.

Ride your ATV 3 miles to Wolf Pen Gap or Fourche Mountains from the cabin If You need more room, check out our other area listing at The Fox and the Hound Cabins Little Coon Guest House is situated on 25 acres ( 1 mile from Ouachita River and 3 miles from Wolf Pen Gap entrance road) past the main residence tucked into the upper corner of the property. 12 miles East of Mena.

Riverside Cabins

Overlooking Caddo River. We are in the middle of the tiny town of Norman, home to the states smallest public library. We also have a Dollar General, a Post Office, & a General Store. Pets are welcome, but we do ask that you clean up after them, keep them on leashes when outside, don't leave them unattended unless they are in a carrier, and please do not allow them on beds or furniture.
