I'm finding it difficult to put into words what being a guest at Cantick Head was like. Magical, inspiring, cozy, peaceful, safe. The cottage is beyond charming. It was tastefully decorated with little bits of history scattered about. It was absolutely spotless clean with comfortable beds and linens that smelled heavenly especially after a day of hiking the nearby trails. A nature and animal lovers paradise. Alan and his family go above and beyond to ensure you are happy. I found the experience to be quite moving and was saddened to leave. Alan is an example of what an outstanding Airbnb operator is and Cantick Head is a top notch accommodation. The price was very reasonable for the experience of being at Cantick Head. Overall, 11 out 10!

We had a lovely few days in Mike’s cottage. It had everything we needed and was just a short drive from Kirkwall. Everything was clean and fresh. Mike left some essentials in the kitchen such as milk, bread, cereals, teas,coffees and biscuits which was appreciated! Would definitely recommend.

We had an amazing stay! Cottage was perfect, short drive to a lovely town and great to access all parts of the Highlands. Highly Recommend!

Probably the best Christmas we have had for a while. All the stress taken out of it by the hosts, the house was beautifully decorated for the season, two wrapped presents and a hamper of goodies. We felt thoroughly spoilt! The cabin is exquisite and we would love to come back. It was wonderful for the dogs too, completely fenced in around the cabin so no fears of escapees! We loved everything about it!!

Every year we pick a new location in Scotland to celebrate my brother's birthday, and this one was one of our favorites so far. The host left many nice touches around the house, including a bottle of Prosecco, as well as some treats for our dog. The location was perfect for us (30 minutes from the Orkney ferry, walking distance from town center, and near some beautiful locations for short walks). Would definitely book this place again.

We loved our stay in Brora. The house was well located with comfy beds and a well stocked kitchen. Walking distance to all amenities and would highly recommend a trip to Capaldi’s.

What an absolute dream of a place to stay. Recently fully renovated and it is simply stunning. Minutes from the center of Wick and just off the NC 500, Drumdry was an ideal base for exploring the far northeastern corner of Scotland. The cottage was situated among beautiful farm fields and our son loved saying hi every morning to the sheep outside. And I can’t say enough how wonderful the owner is. She not only was so friendly and welcoming when we arrived, she also thoughtfully brought us a bunch of toys for our son to play with and feel more at home. I literally don’t think you could ask for a better host. Indeed our whole experience at Drumdry was so lovely it has reset the bar for what a 5 star stay is. I couldn’t recommend a stay here highly enough!

Had a great stay in such a beautiful spot. What views from the kitchen window. House and garden grounds were great for the two dogs and the grassed enclosure was perfect. Everything we needed including an outside den. Beach minutes walk away. Loved our stay.

Amazing cottage, very clean and tastefully decorated. Perfect for a family and dogs with big enclosed garden, beach walks nearby and a very homely feel! We will definitely be returning.

Lovely cottage/bungalow set in a glorious position. The property is kitted out with everything except your wellingtons and if they knew your size they would probably have organised those as well! Would highly recommend staying in this property, we did not meet the hosts but there is a book that lists their contact details and details about everything else you could possibly need. Hope to visit again in the not too distant future.

We are delighted to have had the opportunity to stay. The property was meticulously maintained and contemporary in its design. The attention to detail and thoroughness evident in the home and logistical process are commendable. The colourful sunset as well as the mountains provided a stunning backdrop for our stay. On a clear day you can see the Dornoch Bridge and a wee bit of the mountain range north of Ben Wyvis.

Maison adorable, propre et hyper cosy. On s'y sent comme chez soi. La literie est super. Maree est hyper réactive et l'accueil est parfait. Nous serions volontiers restés plus longtemps !

Richard and Suzanne’s cottage is all we could have ever hoped for and more! The cottage itself is easily the best equipped place we’ve ever stayed at and offers an uninterrupted view onto the sea. The owners are just the best, amazingly caring and offer great suggestions to explore the area. The location is exactly what we’ve been looking for. A lovely drive away from the main roads at the end of a steep decline from the cliffs lies Rockfield. The cottage is prefect to wind down and spend time in. The area offers good hiking opportunities and the pubs in the area have surprisingly good food. It’s also a great starting point to drive along the NC 500 or explore deeper into the highlands. We sure hope to be back as soon as we can!

We had a great time at Hayley’s cottage. The views were beautiful and the location was ideal for sightseeing. The house was pristine with all the amenities needed. Large front and back garden was a bonus. Hayley was quick to communicate and was an awesome host. Thanks again for having us!

The 5 of us had a wonderful stay at Park Cottage. It sounded lovely on the listing but actually exceeded our expectations. Cosy, very clean, comfortable, very cute cottage in beautiful surroundings and a short drive to Kirkwall. The bus also stops right outside if needed. Kitchen well stocked with basics and welcoming cookies for our arrival. Very good communication with Ronnie. Thoroughly recommend this cottage.

This is the second stay at Elizabeth’s place and will always come back, clean, character, beautiful area and comfy beds (extremely important!!!). There should be more stars 🤩

We can only wholeheartedly recommend Ian and Barbara's place. They are wonderful, warm, and extremely helpful hosts. We have spent many holidays in Scotland, and they rank on top of the list. Actually, having them around from the first hour, we felt like being invited into their family. This is perhaps their greatest give to any guest. Thank you, Ian and Barbara.

One of the best Airbnb experience! Hoy view is a home away from home with everything you need + very friendly and cute neighbours (the sheeps, alpacas and highland cooossss) we walked to the lighthouse, quick drive to the beach, woke up to beautiful sunrise and spectacular views of the sea and the cliffs. Can’t wait to be back if we can do it again! Patsy has set up the home very beautifully and loved everything about it. They also have very convenient EV charger which we used overnight to charge our car. Thank you for everything Patsy- it was a lovely experience
