Lisa and Phil have an amazing place and go above and beyond as hosts! They had fresh pastries, fruit, and flowers waiting for us. The kitchen is well stocked with pantry essentials and cooking gear. The property is immedicable and exemplifies Phil's wood-working craftsmanship. We took full advantage of the hot tub and also a tour of Phil's downstairs wood shop. While initially concerned about the train, we found it an exciting perk and our sleep was never disturbed even without ear plugs. We were lucky enough to be able to stay for 2 weeks and will definitely be recommending the "lodge" to friends and family!

We had a much-needed family getaway to Warren’s farmhouse to relax and spend time together. We loved being in the country; such a peaceful spot. The on-site coffee house was such a treat. We absolutely loved meeting Nathan! We had great coffee and even better conversation every day. The hot tub was a bonus, too. We had a few questions/issues and Warren was quick to remedy the situation. Really appreciated it. We were able to spend some time exploring the area - Essex, Harrow, Amherstburg, all lovely spots - and had a beautiful meal at North 42 winery. Thanks for a relaxing few days. We’ll be back to visit again!

Jason was an awesome and super responsive host. The house was super clean and it was in a nice quiet area while still only being a short car ride from night life. Would highly recommend!

We came to Detroit for a girls trip and it is safe to say that we will absolutely be staying at Sara’s again! It had everything we needed and more for our week in town! It made us feel right at home. I definitely recommend staying here!

Ann Margaret was a wonderful host, checking in regularly to make sure everything was working for me. She and Judy left many special touches around the space (delicious breakfast treats, glass bottles of filtered water, a heavy duty ice scraper for my car) to make it feel like a very personal experience despite the ample privacy. I loved the space which was homey in an elevated way. It was a great retreat for a busy visit to Ann Arbor.

This flat was well-appointed and very esthetically pleasing. Safe, quiet location just blocks from a fabulous Detroit pizza/craft beer joint and also a food court! Seamless check-in and check-out with clear, detailed instructions. Perfect stay for this foursome who was in town for an event at Ford Field.

Enjoyed my time here! Lots of space and the fenced years was great for my little dog. Good location near downtown Ferndale on a nice, quiet street. I had some trouble getting into the house at first, but the host was very responsive and found a solution.

We were so happy to return. A little planning ahead (& a couple little asks) on our part made this an even better visit than last. It will be tough to find another place that suits us and the pups as well—great opportunity to think up another reason to visit their guest house again. Thank you Bill & Lily for such kind hospitality!

This is the second of Jennifer’s listings we’ve stayed at and it was just as cozy and clean as the first! Jennifer is a very responsive and friendly host, and the house was clean, nicely decorated, and easy to settle into. Would happily stay again.

Was kinda nervous about my solo trip but the location made me feel very safe. Everything was convenient walking distance. The views were amazing. Would definitely stay again!

Stayed here for 2 weeks with my 2 kids aged 8 and 11. The place was nice and clean and the host was easily contactable and sent us a message every couple of days to check all was ok. We had plenty of room and facilities to cook and do our laundry. The pool area out the back was great and my kids and I spent many hours swimming. I would definitely consider booking again if we are back in the area next year.
