The location is the stunning South Arm Peninsula offering many coastal trails, beaches, and a key site for viewing the Aurora Australis. Easy access to Hobart (40mins) and the Airport (30ms).

Possum's Nest is cosy beach side cottage 40 minutes south of Hobart and the airport. It's a compact eco-friendly home with everything you need for a comfortable stay. You can stroll to the jetty to fish, paddle-board or kayak or take a short drive to some our best surfing beaches. Walk to the shop for supplies and take-aways, or 5 minutes drive to South Arm to a great cafe, RSL club and pharmacy. Within a stone's throw to a gorgeous quiet sandy beach Possum's Nest is the perfect getaway.

Using the shack as your base, no matter which direction you choose to venture, there’s an array of experiences and activities to explore, 20 min to Hobart Airport, 40 min to Hobart, gateway to Richmond, East Coast, Port Arthur and the Tasman Peninsula. Come drift for a while.

The kitchen has had a modern renovation in 2025, new kitchen modern appliances have been introduced to this area.

AERIE retreat. A private designer apartment in the bush by the water. Walk down to the very private Wilderness Deck for exclusive use of the Timber Hot Tub, Sauna and fire pit. Welcome to our peaceful Bruny Island shack. Situated at the north end of Bruny Island it is a perfect place to just relax and enjoy the views, stroll along the beach or brunch at the local cafe. Enjoy the wildlife with Echindas and Quolls frequent visitors to the garden and plenty of wallabies and pademelons too.
