We rented Amanda's place for 2 nights in the winter and it surpassed our expectations! Amanda was a great communicator. The older cottage has been extensively renovated, it was clean, comfortable and cozy. We loved the wood stove and the heating system worked well. The kitchen is first-rate, and very well-equipped, it even had decent knives! We cook a lot and we very much enjoyed making meals there. We loved watching the ever-changing weather on the river from the picture window in the living room, and even saw a beautiful sunrise. The star of our stay was the sauna—we have a wood-burning sauna at home and at our cottage—and we were very impressed with its size, the modern design, the huge picture window and the style of stove. It got up to temperature even in -17 degree weather. We hiked and snowshoed in the Alexander Hope Smith Nature Reserve which was a walk from the cottage. The town of Washago was a 11 minute drive, with a great grocery store. Would definitely stay there again!

Brett was an awesome host. Was always super responsive and helpful. His cottage was such a relaxing time for my family and I. The backyard was very private and great for my dog to run around in. We enjoyed fishing, canoeing, and using the fire pit!

The place is filled with love of Pirabakaran, we can feel the efforts on all the items and supplies he provides to make our living experience way much easier and nicer. The house and space are nice and comfortable, recommended for having a relaxing lakefront cottage/house getaway with the people you love. amenities are good: kayak, floating, fire pit, huge lakefront backyard, bbq grill, pool table, darts, big living and dining area

This was hands down the best Airbnb that I have stayed at. Everything went smoothly and we were very impressed with the lake house. This was such a perfect romantic getaway for us! The kitchen and bathrooms were very well stocked. The space was excellently decorated, cleaned very well, and the temperature of the cottage was easily controllable. Also, the main floor washroom was very nice with heated floors and very strong shower pressure. I really appreciated the axe and the amount of firewood that was provided. It made starting a fire very easy and we were never short on kindling. Though, this is important to note for those with kids. We had planned to use the parking spots at the top of the hill due to snow in the forecast, but these were not usable since mud pits were created from snow melt and rainwater. Regardless, our SUV had no issues whatsoever with accessing the driveway of the lake house. We would 100% stay here again, such a great spot and an even better host!

We had a great birthday weekend at this lakefront house. It fit our group of 14 comfortably and had everything we needed. The location was quiet and right on the water, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the weekend. The place was clean, spacious, well-stocked, and just as listed. Zarina was super responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. Would definitely stay again!

The place is exactly how it was advertised. Everything in the property was well thought of in terms of what people might need in their stay. Kitchen was well equipped that I was able to cook without issues. The host provided info about the location and places to see which is very thoughtful. Peaceful lakeside retreat! Wonderful place to relax and rest while watching the water and listening to the many different birds. We thoroughly enjoyed the rocking chairs down by the lake. We will definitely have some evening fires is we get the opportunity to come back. The apartment is maybe the cleanest we've experienced to date. I love that the bed sheets did not smell of highly perfumed fabric softener, as I am highly sensitive to that. Thank you, Doreen! We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with this lovely couple! And Noah was such a treat! You should book this place!

We had a wonderful stay and Anas was so accommodating and helpful with check in and our arrival time. The condo was clean and inviting with all the the listed amenities and more. Friday Harbour is a perfect way to spend our weekend!

I can’t say enough other than I felt like we went to our families house for the weekend. Her and her husband made us feel right at home. She had homemade brownies waiting for us and greeted us when we arrived. There was nothing missed in the way they have this set up. The most above and beyond experience with a beautiful breakfast. I would highly recommend staying here.

What a great location for a cottage! The included boats (canoes & kayaks) are really nice. We went in late October (end of the season) and the neighborhood was nearly deserted. We were often the only people out on the lake. It takes about 20-25 minutes to paddle over to one of the several waterfront restaurants in Port Severn. Trevor's communications were very precise and easy to follow. Only negative comment concerns the well water. It's not just high in minerals, it is so high in minerals that it smells terrible and you really don't want to shower in it.

Ashley and team were great hosts and a pleasure to deal with Cottage was what I expected and Port Carling is beautiful! Highly recommended !

Such an awesome stay! The cottage was super cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. The lakefront views were even better in person — we spent so much time just hanging out on the deck and by the water. It was the perfect spot to relax and unplug. The hosts were super friendly and made everything really easy. Honestly didn’t want to leave. Definitely coming back!

Alan & Rosalie’s cottage was everything we could have asked for and more ! It was a perfect place to just relax and recharge after a busy fall and Christmas season. We wanted for nothing, it had everything we needed. Alan met us when we arrived and explained where everything was and how it all worked. My wife and I and our two dogs had a wonderful experience. We will most definitely be doing a return visit. If you are looking for a place to getaway and relax this is the place, highly recommend it ! Thank you Alan & Rosalie !

We had the best summer before school starts , thanks to Henry’s cottage! There lots to do, campfire, kayak, boating etc. We love the jetty by the lake and we have coffee there every morning!!! The backyard is so spacious it has the playground that kids have plenty of stuff to do! The place is very quiet at night! We also love the bedrooms and it has no problems accomodating our family plus two more. We have a good experience here and Henry is very responsive on our concerns and questions! We will definitely come back !! Thanks!!!

We come for a short weekend as we had a function in Bracebridge Saturday during the day, a short 20 minute drive away. My bed was extremely comfortable (single bed in the main floor bedroom)...I slept like a log. The views out to the lake were spectacular... there were a few loons on the lake late in the evening...nothing better at the lake than hearing that call. My family constantly repeated how the cottage has everything you would ever need. The main floor shower was a very cool design, I loved it. I also appreciated the natural rock creating a perfect little nook for the firepit. There were no bugs the first weekend in May, and it was perfect sweater weather. I was tempted to go for a paddle, but the lake was high and the dock wasn't quite ready...that's pretty normal for this time of year. I would highly recommend this little place. It was such a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Thank you for hosting us. We will hopefully see you again.
