Stanford retreat was a beautiful home and exactly as described. Our hosts were very helpful and checked with me more than once to make sure we were happy and there were no problems. I would highly recommend them, and if we come back to Gisborne this will definitely be our first choice for accommodation in the future.

Had a great stay though the weather was not on our side. The house is lovely. Beds were very comfortable and fab having the pool option on the days that the wind made the beach wild and rough. The location was amazing as well and walks on beach which is across the road were fantastic.

We had a great time at this place. Kids absolutely loved the pool. The view of the green hills and farm animals just behind the backyard create a feeling of peace and tranquility, that we really needed. All shops and cafes are just 10 min driveaway. Natalie responded to communications promptly. The house was equipped with everything needed. Thank you Natalie.

This is a comfortable, beautiful home with a wonderful, peaceful setting and very adequate space for a large family group. The pool and garden are an added bonus. Rosina communicated clearly. Highly recommended

Great accomodation for a big family group, we loved the decor, & the beds that were comfy, plus the outdoor area was great for little ones to play as yard very secure. The kitchen had everything you could want for a big dinner or baking. Loved that there was lots of blankets and extra towels in the cupboard Thanks Jill for the excellent accomodation 😀

Lovely home! Tidy and spacious for our family. Loved that it had two bathrooms, beds were comfortable, property had everything we needed. Look forward to staying in the future.

From the outside, the house appeared quite standard, but stepping inside revealed a lovely, clean, and tastefully decorated space. A delightful bonus was having Tiger, the friendly cat, as part of the experience! Although we didn’t meet the host in person, she made us feel truly welcomed :-) We highly recommend this house for its beautiful location, comfort, and all the essentials needed for a relaxing and restful stay. We will be back!!

Linda and Daren’s place is so beautiful and well located!! On top of that, these two were the most gracious and generous hosts. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen and enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and bbq. We will 100% be staying here when we come back to the Gisborne area. Can’t recommend highly enough!

This place was amazing! The photos really didn’t do it justice – it was much more spacious than they made it appear. We were pleasantly surprised by how roomy and comfortable it was. Highly recommend!

Our stay in Karen's home was great! We had to travel to Gisborne for a funeral so were unsure of exact dates when we made the booking however when the days we needed changed they were more than happy to move the dates with no fuss. The house itself was beautiful, sitting on the deck in Karen's amazing garden, listening to the birds and looking out towards the hills was just pure bliss and great to get away from it all. The plants and décor inside really made it feel homely and the whole house just had a really positive feeling!! It was exactly what we needed for our time there. I think it's worth noting as it wasn't overly clear in the listing that this appears to be someone's lived in home when they're not renting it out, this wasn't an issue for us and we'd book again next time we're in Gisborne, but I wouldn't of wanted to have little kids or anyone rowdy stay as there is plenty of beautiful house plants, personal things and little knick knacks around.

I booked this accommodation for my colleagues, and they loved it. It was the perfect place for what they needed while working away from home, with a great location. The communication with the hosts was excellent, and we were able to extend the stay by another day without any issues. I would definitely book again in the future.

Our family (2 adults + 2 kids) had a wonderful stay at Anna & Marc's stunning home. The house was perfect and the property with a trampoline, BMX tracks and even a football goal post, was heaven for the children. Super close to the surf beaches of Wainui, we can't wait to come back. The super friendly cats were an added bonus, with the kids getting a cat each to cuddle up at night 😻 (we have pets at home).

This is a little haven in the city. Quiet street with a great fish an chip shop and grocery store within walking distance. The blooming roses this time of the year are beautiful and have a fantastic scent. Was tempted to pick one but didn't. Thank you to the hosts.
