The Painter’s Cabin situated on a quiet backroad, offers a relaxed luminous space overlooking a lovely garden with a view of Totnes castle and the distant Dartmoor hills. No need for a car, this spacious retreat is only a five-minute walk from the town center and the iconic river Dart with its walks to Sharpham and Dartington estates.

Welcome to Primrose Studio, a self-contained apartment on a quiet, private drive - just 2 mins walk to the centre of Totnes. Satnav won’t find us - our check in directions will ! Beautifully converted in 2021 - with slate/wooden floors with underfloor heating, wood-burning stove, bathroom with roll-top bath and walk-in shower, and a separate fully-equipped galley-kitchen. The studio has its own front door, with its own parking space right outside. Ideal for couples, we welcome family pets too.

Lovely wooden cabin at the bottom of garden, very close to river, with separate access via a side walk along the main house. 5 minutes walk from a diving platform for wild river swimming. Walk to Totnes high street in 15-20 minutes along main road, or take the 20-30 minute beautiful riverside walk. The house is very close to the cycle route to Dartington/Totnes. We are also only a 20 minute (uphill) walk to Dartington Hall. Beaches 20 minutes drive away, Dartmoor national park 20 minute drive.

Woollen blankets, feather sofa, antique Scandinavian log burner, king-size bed with French linen & down, waterfall shower, & the softest towels. Our sleepy Devon hamlet is only lit by stars at night. This unique place has a style all of its own.The Piggery is a small but perfectly formed unit set down some steps within the grounds of our family home.Just a mile from the centre of the bustling market town of Totnes, and all its wonderful eating places.Accommodation is luxurious,cosy cottage style.Located on the main A385 road (please note there is traffic noise) it is a great location as a touring base for beautiful South Devon. A perfect place for your break away, with private parking!
