Coma e beba como um morador local - tavernas e lámen
LET'S GET OUT OF THE TOURIST AREA where it is overpriced and crowded with people! This tour focuses on Ueno, which is not as crowded as Shibuya, Shinjuku and is less touristy. It is also famous with Japanese foodies for a good quality at reasonable prices. I'm going to take you to popular bars and restaurants for ONLY LOCALS (NO TOURISTS!!) where the staff speaks only Japanese. I will order signature dishes, and we will discuss the food and drink (and you can pepper me with questions). We will visit 4 restaurants/taverns in total, where you will sample sashimi, grilled fish and skewered meat, etc. You will also have the opportunity to try UNIQUE Japanese alcoholic drinks (5 or more different type of drinks), so I STRONGLY believe customers who can drink alcoholic beverages are more ENJOYABLE for the tour for sure!! I mean, kids might NOT be able to have fun of the tour because of the fact that the tour is designed for adults. Also, you'll be able to experience what Japanese taverns are like. After visiting these three taverns, we will end the tour at a great Ramen shop that is popular with locals. At the end of the tour, I will explain which train station you need to go, depending on where you go. You are going to have a full-size meal on the day in several different restaurants included ramen, so again pls come hungry!

Passeio tranquilo por um templo cultural com uma moradora local
You will explore Monzennakacho, small neighborhood in the eastern part of Tokyo. Manami was born and grew up here, learned about its history, and later earned a Ph.D. in cultural heritage protection. These days many tour groups are showing up. Ours is not a bike tour or bus tour that stops here for a short while just for the Buddhist ritual and group photos. Ours is an experience: you will talk with a real local who has expert insight into Japanese spirituality and understands the local backstory. She will explain what each performance at the ritual means as well as the meanings of all the unique symbols at the shrine. 1. Passing by old bars, Manami will introduce geographical features and history of this area. She will also uncover why two religions, Buddhism and Shinto, coexist in Japan, their differences, and what they mean to people. 2. Fukagawa Fudo-do - Buddhist temple: Manami will share basic etiquette for visiting religious places and for taking pictures and videos. You will witness a spectacular ritual involving fire and huge drums. There are some rules inside, but please relax and follow Manami’s instructions. 3. Tomioka Hachimangu - Shinto shrine: After trying the Shinto-style coin-throwing, you will see some "Sumo rocks” and grand festival architecture. If you would like to do omikuji or goshuin, Manami will be happy to help so please feel free to ask her.
Caminhada histórica pela vida em Tóquio
Firstly, we’ll visit the 300 year old Nezu shrine, which is my favorite shrine in Tokyo. I'll explain the history of the shrine and tell you some various beliefs and traditions of ancient Japanese people. When you pass through the “100 red gate tunnel”, you’ll feel as if you are back to the Edo era (17th to 19th century). Secondly, we’ll walk around Yanaka area which is a part of Ueno. The area we’ll walk around is a pretty downtown and a quiet residential area. There are many temples and small traditional shops. I’m sharing some interesting stories behind the places that we’ll visit. You may buy a little souvenirs and eat snacks if you like. The tour ends at a local popular shopping street, Yanaka Ginza. Since I live near here, I can share some of my favorite shops. Ueno was one of the battlegrounds of Meiji Restoration in 1868. I’ll tell about how Japan has changed from the era of the samurai to modernized Japan, sharing my university knowledge and my family story. Note: Please be sure to wear your comfortable walking shoes. ※この体験は英語で開催されます。日本語をご希望の方は貸切にてお申し込みをお願いいたします

Explore áreas pitorescas fora da cidade
We'll visit areas west of Tokyo by hopping on the very compact local train. You'll be able to see the real lives of the residents in addition to some popular tourist sites, such as the birthplace of the iconic lucky cat, maneki-neko, a peaceful shrine, and charming local shopping streets whose air is blended with old and new. You can also enjoy delicious local foods and sweets. Even though I'm a professional Japanese guide, I still always get excited when I visit this area. These areas are exactly the place where you need a tour guide to make the most of the affluent pleasures in these jewel box communities. I'll serve you a few street foods. The last destination is Sangenjaya. We will go up to a lookout deck commanding nice view. This tour is much fun, profitable and tasty tour! (during the tour, served foods are not enough as lunch)
