Situated on the Inland scenic route [High way 72] and only a short drive to Mount Hutt ski field and the Ashburton Lakes /Lord of the Rings country.For a longer drive Geraldine is only 30 minutes away and the Gateway to the beautiful Southern Lakes . The cottage accomodation is totally private set in a beautiful garden setting in the grounds of the historic school house built in 1876. 20 minutes to Methven and 1 hour to Christchurch international Airport. Mahina Cabin was used by the owner to live in prior to building our residence on this 5500sqm site. It is 10m from our Mahina Cottage and 15m behind our house. It is cosy, private, has plenty of parking and has all that is needed for a quiet getaway while enjoying our little piece of paradise here in Twizel, the heart of the Mackenzie Country. The grounds have been landscaped with mainly native plantings to enhance the privacy and views. The owners live on site and operate a native nursery.
