The Retreat was established by the Clark family who live on, and farm the surrounding land. The Clark's have been farming the 685 hectare coastal property in the Catlins for the last 25 years. Cameron and Michelle would love to share their secluded retreat with you to enjoy the privacy and peacefulness it provides.
Hilltop - Double Room (1)One Double Room in a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom restored character home, nestled alongside native forest on a sheep farm, overlooking the tiny seaside community of Papatowai, in the heart of the Catlins. Comfortable beds and spectacular views. You may be sharing the house with fellow travellers or you could luck out and have the whole house to yourself. The price is for one room. There are a maximum of four rooms available, so please message us as another room may be there for you.
Carol's CabinWe have a cosy cabin (studio style) opposite our house with its own shower and toilet and basic cooking facilities (double hotplate, small fridge, microwave, electric jug and toaster). 5 minutes walk to river and beach. Simple breakfast supplies are provided for you to prepare your own morning meal; home made bread, local honey, butter, jam. Unfortunately we no longer have hens so cannot supply fresh eggs. There is a DVD player and good selection of movies to watch on a rainy day.
