Estelle’s place is a little slice of farm heaven. Magical for a family getaway. Beautiful gardens, and friendly service, and lots of farm animal interactions made for a peaceful and fun loving family holiday. This is a place for those looking to escape to wide open spaces, and switch off. While still being close enough to the little town of Greyton to enjoy some low key shopping, and characterful restaurants.

Came here last year as I grew up in the hermitage and brought my Thai fiance and she just fell in love with the place. The animals, nature, mountains and friendly people. Love it here and came back longer this time and will be back every year.

We had a lovely stay in a beautiful spot. We had our two small dogs with us, so we couldn't enjoy the full hikes, but we enjoyed parts of the routes and did some birding. Our dogs also made fast friends with the sweetest resident dog, Annie, who visited often. The hosts were very responsive, and we enjoyed learning more about their farm and setup.

Die Bloubuis is the perfect getaway from the city. A tranquil farmhouse surrounded by a working farm. The house was clean, and matched the description and photos provided. A few days without electricity isn’t as bad as you’d think. Heleen was very responsive to all our queries. The house had all the amenities one needs for a couple of days, with plenty of open space to roam around such as walking or cycling. I would highly recommend Die Blouhuis for a family, a couple of friends or even a couple looking to shut off and unwind!

Aside from Jackie and Adrien's warm hospitality and availability (which is phenomenal as you can feel they really love their slice of heaven), the farm, the cottages and the sights are simply spectacular. We saw Sables, Zebra, Springbok and Wildebeest. Not to mention that on clear nights, the stars steal all of the attention. If you're looking for a peaceful exit from the hustle and bustle of the city without heading too far out Cape Town, this is the perfect spot for you. Everything is as you see in the pictures, if not better. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

A Truly Magical Escape – Frog Mountain Stole Our Hearts Wow, some places truly touch your soul, and Frog Mountain is one of them. You can feel the love, care, and passion that Gabriela has poured into creating this magical retreat. Our stay was nothing short of incredible. From the joy of walking up to the labyrinth and witnessing a breathtaking sunset to the pure exhilaration of squealing down the foofy slide—every moment felt special. We loved hiking to the waterfall and rock pools, immersing ourselves in nature’s beauty. Our cozy rondavel felt like a warm hug after each day of adventure. The charm of Frog Mountain extends beyond the landscapes—it’s in the horses grazing peacefully, the cows wandering the fields, and the symphony of beautiful birdsong each morning. Swimming in the river was a refreshing delight, and every corner of this place felt like a gift to the soul. We are deeply grateful

Wow, such an incredible stay, the place is in jaw droopingly beautiful area. the views are incredible. The home was very very neat, Sonja is super friendly and helpful. Just such a great stay... we will be back for sure.

Great rustic farm stay outside of Swellendam. Safe to explore the area and the wood fired hot tub was a perfect addition. We loved exploring the farm and spotting all of the animals, especially the giraffe! Comms from the host could have been better though as we had some difficulty finding the farm for check-in without any directions.

Natasha is extremely friendly, lovely and accommodating. she is so welcoming and a gem of a person! The accommodation was modern, comfortable and clean. The space is tranquil and you have everything you need to a peaceful get away! It was lovely to walk freely on the property to see the horses and pets around. Wood for a fire and games are provided. Kayaking on the lake and watching the sunset with a glass of wine was pure bliss! We're definitely coming back to this amazing place to call second home 💫

We loved this place. Beautiful views, lovely rooms and kitchen, great braai The only problem was finding the location - the point on the map in Airbnb is not correct, so please change it, so it was easier to find you

Has so many different spaces to utilise, from an undercover braai, to an outside braai, to an indoor fireplace. Also multiple picnic spots next to the river. Had an amazing time :)

Beautiful cottage on a beautiful farm. We were welcomed with a freshly baked bread and milk from the farm. Elzette was a wonderful host and we had a wonderful stay with them.

Belinda is a great host. Stoepsit is exactly what we were looking for. Being away from the hustle and bustle of suburban and city life, surrounded by an amazing view and peaceful environment was food for the soul. There are a few reviews that mentioned requiring a 4x4. Getting there was quite comfortable in our Corolla Cross.

Very friendly homestay with amazing views. Peaceful and quiet with a lovely big yard. It is surrounded by a picturesque countryside with beautiful views across the valley.Location was beautiful and there was lots to do nearby. We were able to contact Amelia and Jacques easily and they were very helpful; from restaurant & activity recommendations to use of the cottage amenities. We had plenty of room for two adults; two kids & two infants. Just what we need to get away from the hustle & bustle of city life.A very beautiful & spacious cabin; we will certainly be going back as there is so much more activities and wine farms we left without visiting.

I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful and tranquil getaway, and I can’t recommend it enough. The moment we arrived we were captivated by the serene surroundings- the most spacious and homely accommodation surrounded by nature and horses. The host Nicki was incredibly proactive sending me information about the town as well as wifi password and parking instructions upfront followed by a seamless check-in. The place was clean and very well equipped. If you’re looking for a relaxing retreat with a wonderful host, this is the perfect spot. Would come back any day!

Elzeth was a supreme hostess! Communication was excellent. She was so warm & friendly offering plenty of advice about their farm & the surrounding area. We felt very welcomed. The cottage is gorgeous & spacious with top notch appliances, comfortable furnishings & top quality bedding. Her artwork is tastefully displayed. Extra care was taken with basic condiments, cold water, tea & coffee & milk. Gardens are beautiful with bonus of being able to pick fruit & veg grown. The hot tub is a real winner at night to view the night sky! Bonus.. a bottle of their estate wine. Wonderful surprise. Highly recommend a stay here… warning… 2 nights wasn’t enough, just too relaxing an environment! Thank you for making it a memorable stay, Elzeth.

We had a wonderful stay. The cottage was charming, the gardens so beautiful and the surrounding mountains are breathtaking. It was easy to walk to nearby shops and restaurants - very conveniently located. Lovely linen, comfortable matrasses and we were spoilt with the Rain toiletries in the bathroom. Thank you to our host, David, we would love to visit again!

We had a wonderful stay at Daniel's place. Sixteen of us stayed there and there was plenty of room for all with well appointed and comfortable bedrooms. The home is spacious, eclectic, and situated on a lovely farm. A great place to relax, take in the surroundings, play ping pong, play pool, or have a barbecue. There are some great wine farms nearby if you feel like going out. The house was well equipped with all utensils and amenities. In all, we had a great stay and I highly recommend a stay here.

We had a truly wonderful stay here. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel incredibly welcome with her warm hospitality. The space was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. One of the highlights was the beautiful greenery and the many trees surrounding the house. It created such a peaceful, natural atmosphere that made us feel instantly at ease. Alida went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, and she was always available if we had any questions. The location was serene and perfectly situated for exploring the area. Highly recommended :) we’d love to come back!

Sionsberg is an absolute gem. The perfect place to escape city stress and corporate mayhem and just come up for air. Anita's home is magnificent - beautifully curated, high quality bed linen, well-equipped, loads of small special touches and a truly exquisite garden. She went out of her way to ensure we had a wonderful time.

We had the most delightful stay at Doorways. Daph is an extraordinary host and her rooms are comfortable and really well appointed. Spacious, clean, peaceful and surrounded by a beautiful garden, you really can't ask for more. We can't wait to go back.

This was a very romantic stay, we had a wonderful stay! Jon and Coco were fantastic hosts, very responsive and helpful. We booked for the very peaceful location, and we weren't disappointed. The apartment felt like a home away from home, with everything we needed for our stay. The bed is absolutely huge and uper comfy, the hot tub was a particular highlight for us, thanks to Jon who helped us get it going. We had a flawless stay, and the animals were a big bonus!

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful and spacious farmhouse. The area is quiet and peaceful, great place to escape from the city! There are great places to walk with awesome views of the surrounding areas. A nice pool to relax and cool off in. Felt very safe. Would definitely recommend staying here!

We have thoroughly enjoyed our three weeks at Alistair’s delightful garden cottage, it is a little gem situated amongst beautiful leopard trees in a peaceful garden. It is a perfect situation, a short walk away from the shops and great coffee shops. There are lovely country walks close by and we enjoyed great hikes with beautiful mountain backdrops. Alistair, Delphine and Adin are charming and very accommodating hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them.
