The pictures don’t show how gorgeous this place is! Amy was incredibly helpful and responsive. The view from the back garden area is beautiful, the cottage is spacious, quirky and stylish decor. The hot tub is wonderful; really hot and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the stars.

I realy enjoyed my first air b and b stay with Cindy at stag cottage. the hamper of provisions was usefull, and meeting her kittens was a lovely extra treat. the whole holiday allowed me to unwind fully and have quality time with my son, we made the most of the heathland, woods and beaches and I reconnected with an inner peace I have not felt in many years. Thank you so much.

A beautiful cottage, bath with a view and lovely hot tub in private garden. Provides everything you need for a relaxing weekend away. Beautiful location, so peaceful. The barn with pool table and gym was a great addition. Responsive host too, a really lovely welcome when we arrived.

Great place , did exactly what it said on the tin

Very lovely hosts and the place in general is lovely for little families. The property has a very safe enclosed garden which is perfect if you've got little ones. The property is on the grounds of their own property which is something to be mindful of if you're expecting complete privacy. My only negative is that the basic necessities like tea/coffee/sugar are not provided to give you that little head start if you've travelled a long journey. That being said, the place is a beautiful little getaway x

A perfect find for a relaxing weekend with friends. This place was spotless, peaceful, spacious, filled with everything you could possibly need, and in a perfect location. We really appreciated the instructions written throughout the house, it meant there was no room for confusion and we didn't have a reason to message the host all weekend as they'd covered everything. We will absolutely be coming back.

Sue and Robert’s cottage was stunning. We had a lovely weekend with our young children. They were both super quick to reply, gave us lots of recommendations and explained how to use the hot tub (which was amazing with lovely views. The kids LOVED it) The welcome bits (bread, coffee, milk, juice ect) was a lovely touch. The place is immaculate and had lots of games and dvd’s. The area is beautiful and so peaceful. The kids said they wanted to stay there FOREVER which says it all. Thankyou Sue and Robert x

We had a lovely couple of nights at The Bothy! What a beautiful cottage and part of the New Forest! I have stayed in a few different parts and this was my favourite. I think I saw more donkeys than ever before which was a real treat as they are one of my favourite animals. Lots of other wildlife around too and some lovely pubs that did great food (and cocktails!) were in walking distance too, which was great. Chrissy goes that extra mile with some really nice touches inside the cottage, including a really beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers. The bed was very comfortable and you’re spoilt for choice with the hot tub and a beautiful roll top bath within. She is close by and very responsive with any queries too. I would highly recommend and will definitely return.

Lovely place to stay, brilliant location and exactly as described. Charlotte was great at communicating before our stay and we found the place very easily!

The exact location isn't too clear when you book - but this place is actually like a small countryside heaven. It feels very peaceful and isolated, although you're within a few minutes drive from amenities (a few supermarkets) and the town centre. Sally was very helpful as soon as arrived, and super responsive all along. The cottage itself was small but perfectly fine for a family with 2 kids (the bedroom, upstairs, is really large though). All the essential was there, and in good working order. And it was great chilling on the lawn by the river, watching the sheep on the other side and the blossoming apple trees in Sally's garden, once the kids were in bed. I wish our stay had been longer to enjoy it further!

Truely stunning stay. Such a beautiful home and location. Would recommend for a family stay as little ones loved the toys, charm and ample space.

We had a lovely stay at the Jackdaw cottage. Well located for access to the centre and shops. We liked the kitchen and the patio garden particularly. Note there is an Aga which we managed to use successfully thanks to a helpful cookbook. We have family in Wimborne and look forward to booking again. Penny and Matthew

Julie's place was a fantastic place to stay during our time in Portland. The place was spotless, smelt nice and had all the amenities and items you might need for your stay. Locally, the walks are absolutely breathtaking! Some of the best views I have seen anywhere! There are a few food shops and takeaways locally, all fairly priced and good food. We will definitely return!

Firstly thank you Paul & Sarah for your directions. If you put the cottage post code in to your sat nav it will have you carrying out a U turn on the A31 so please note the directions given. The cottage is in a lovely location and was cosy, well furnished, well equipped and clean. The garden was lovely and great for our dogs but small dogs can squeeze through gaps in the fence (Paul is aware and is planning to block off any escape routes). There were fresh tulips and shortbread to greet us, which was a lovely touch, as well as lovely toiletries. Paul & Sarah were responsive to any queries or needs we had. There are lovely walks through the forest right on your doorstep. There is an outdoor hose for washing muddy footwear and paws. There are outside lights but the torch inside the cottage came in handy. We would happily recommend the cottage for a relaxing break.

Rowan Barn's open plan design worked very well as a welcoming space for three adults. It is set in beautiful countryside and in an excellent location for exploring this part of the Dorset coast. The cottage had everything we needed, including good access and easy parking. We have stayed in several different cottages in the area. This is the one we hope to return to. Thank you, Debra.

We had such a wonderful time staying at this cottage. The location is just perfect, peaceful and beautiful. The cottage is easy to find. Everything was tidy and clean as well as well equipped and beautifully decorated. You are surrounded by fields, a stream to listen to and little rabbits hopping in the field next door! Lots of fields and paths to take your dog for a walk. Enclosed garden and property so dog and child safe. Lovely to arrive to a welcome pack for the dog as well as us- chocolate, biscuits and eggs from their chickens! Lots to do and nice places to eat nearby- there is a folder with all info needed in the cottage. Perfect getaway for a family with a dog! We were lucky enough to meet the host’s dog Rocky! We absolutely loved our stay here. Hazel wrote to us and gave clear instructions for arrival as well as coming to say hi once we got there. The accommodation was lovely and cosy. The amount of space to walk around in the forest was excellent even if we weren’t brave enough to do the flying fox. The Dutch hot tub was excellent once we got it hot and we spent a lovely evening listening to the sound of the forest. Highly recommend (my 4yr old loved all the books as well)

Just got back from a lovely stay at woodbine villa.. We choose to stay here as it isn't far from the Shepton mallet Vintage Antiques flea market.. Such a lovely cosy cottage and very homely we loved our stay and would definitely would return.. Just felt so homely.. Very good place to stay and local to surrounding villages ..

Thornhills Cottage was a delight, the instructions provided by Karyn were very informative with everything we needed to know about our stay prior to arriving. The self check in was an easy process. The hot tub is £30.00 per stay which we found very reasonably priced. However, we did find that the hot tub lacked privacy as easily visible from main road/cars passing by. The facilities were great. The location was easy to get to main supermarkets and local takeaways by car. Clark’s Village is a bonus with it being within 15 minutes distance. Parking is right outside the property which provides great accessibility as well as security for your vehicle. Heating was easy to use, very cosy cottage and felt at home there. Great sunset views too I must add. Kitchen had all necessary cooking equipment but please note, there is no freezer at this property. Fast WiFi with a smart TV which came in handy. Plenty of storage(i.e, wardrobe, chest of drawers etc) if staying long term. Thank you both.

Lucy is a brilliant host, very responsive and friendly too. The cottage is in a great location and it's easy to get to the local shops and restaurants. Parking is easy and the cottage has everything you need and more. It's a lovely place to stay.

We really enjoyed our time in Sway and would recommend this as a great apartment and location to stay in. Communication before, during and after our stay was great, with the hosts answering any questions that we had. The accommodation was spotless throughout and was really well furnished. We would highly recommend for anyone looking to visit the area.

An ideal location for an extended stay and enjoyable holidays. The Foxhill reception and attentive service is excellent Nothing is too much trouble and Dairy cottage is equipped with everything you need.

We had a wonderful stay! My brother got married at the Temple of Apollo and the cottage was the perfect base for various members of my family over the weekend. We had everything we needed in the bedrooms and kitchen and felt right at home. The cottage is thoughtfully decorated and very well equipped, and of course, access to the beautiful Stourhead gardens is a fantastic bonus (even if wedding prep and clear up meant we didn't get to take full advantage :D!)
