Watch and pet our friendly animals from the cottage and experience some of the best star gazing in New Zealand from our beautiful hot tub. During your stay we offer a free animal tour of 1 hour, whereby you will visit some of our friendly animals incl bottle feeding our pet lambs (Aug-Dec), an Alpaca walk 🦙, and our friendly horses, cats, dogs and chickens 🥰

Situated on the Inland scenic route [High way 72] and only a short drive to Mount Hutt ski field and the Ashburton Lakes /Lord of the Rings country.For a longer drive Geraldine is only 30 minutes away and the Gateway to the beautiful Southern Lakes . The cottage accomodation is totally private set in a beautiful garden setting in the grounds of the historic school house built in 1876. 20 minutes to Methven and 1 hour to Christchurch international Airport. Not suitable for infants/children.

The Double Tree Cottage is in an idyllic setting with expansive snow-capped mountain and farm views (seasonal). Mt Hutt Skifield, Opuke Hot Pools, Staveley Iceskating rink, DOC walking tracks and Methven Mt Hutt Village are all within a 15min drive. Located on our 32ha farm, watch sheep grazing metres from your door, native Kereru playing in the trees above you, or head out to many surrounding activities. Note: This is a mini studio style cottage so is very small and priced accordingly.

We are located approximately a 1 hour drive from Christchurch & 30 minute drive from Mt Hutt ski fields. This apartment is situated 5 minutes off Inland Scenic Route 72 and less than 20 minutes from the friendly farming village of Geraldine. Use the apartment as a launch pad to local activities in Peel Forest (horse treks and bush walks), Lake Tekapo (ice skating, snow tubing, day spa and hot pools), Mt Cook (beautiful scenic walks and helicopter rides), or just a place to relax and escape from the hustle and bustle of town. We are a working farm running cattle, chickens and 1 dog.

Homebush Cottage is part of the 130 year old former Homebush School, located on the Southern Scenic Route, 8kms from Darfield township and close to popular Skifields, Lakes and amazing tourist destinations, thus making us the perfect stopover. The cottage is set on 3 acres including beautiful rambling gardens and tennis court. The Cottage is super comfy and suitable for a couple. We provide a self catering continental breakfast including free range eggs from Brown Shavers !!!

We are close to conservation parks, local walking tracks including the Sharplins fall track , Staveley Ice skating rink and Mt Hutt ski field. Methven is just 15 minutes drive. Ideal for couples, trampers, adventurers, and families. Families with toddlers need to be aware that a small creek runs through the property.
