Ann Marie’s home is beautiful! It truly feels like a home. Her staff are very kind and helpful. The home is clean(our cleaner came every day) and tidy. Unfortunately due to the country wide power issue, it was difficult for us to get comfortable as the home rarely had power. There is a generator, but fuel is the responsibility of the guest and currently fuel is quite pricey, and this information was not disclosed in advance. Due to this power inconsistency it was extremely difficult for me to work(remotely) since the WiFi would not work without power. So, we decided it would be best to move to a place with 24/7 generator access with Inverter to ensure 24 hour power. However it is not the hosts fault that the entire country does not have reliable power. She did her best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. She was responsive to our issues, professional, and kind. Under normal circumstances, this would be 5 star stay! I would definitely stay here again.

I have been traveling to freetown at once a year for the past seven years. This place is the best place I have ever stayed in all my travels to Freetown. For me, when I stayed there, I missed nothing I was used to here in the United States. I felt like I was in the States when ever I was in the house, I only realized I was in Africa when I come outside of house or the compound. I will highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to Sierra Leone and looking for a descent place at an affordable price to stay. Michael Bakarr and his staffs were gracious host.

Sewanu's place was great! Superb location, friendly staff (and dog!), delicious food, easy-going host whom was easy to communicate with...I can't recommend this place enough! I was comfortable and felt completely safe during my stay. The internet and electricity worked well. I hope to return again soon!

Beautiful colonial style home

This was my second time staying at Tapsir and Hannah's family home while I was working in central Freetown. They are lovely people and accommodating hosts - always happy to answer any questions or just have a chat. The place is very centrally located and easy to get downtown. There is also always internet and water which was a bonus for me. I had a great stay and would recommend this place if you need to be in Freetown for work.

Lovely location with a very helpful and responsive host and her local staff. The rooms are large and lovely and the view is amazing! Water pressure was a little low sometimes, but was not a deal breaker. All in all, it was a great experience and I would definitely visit again.

I absolutely loved my stay at Victor's Airbnb. I knew I was getting a nice space, however, the apartment and host's care actually surpassed all my expectations. The manager Rosita, staff and security were all very kind, caring and made me feel so at home. All and any issues that arose (i.e. powercut and water pressure......which is a common occurance in SL in general), Victor and Rosita sorted asap, they prioritised my needs and rectified any issues promptly. The facilities in the apartment were on point, only thing missing is a full length mirror! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Victorus and because of their great apartments, staff care and consideration, in addition to Victor's on hand, welcoming and genuine approach, I will be staying here again when I return to SL in April. Thank you all at Victorus.......You are AmAZiNG💯

Michael and his staff were very accommodating to our needs. Everyone was friendly and our room was very comfortable and peaceful. They have a restaurant attached with great food. It is very easy to access transportation from this location. The US Embassy is close Michael’s place,.We were able to hop on a bike and make it there within minutes. B-Mart is a great value for the money with steady hot water, a back up generator, and consistent Wi-Fi . We will definitely book again if we are ever on this side of town and given the opportunity.

Ann-Marie was very helpful and communicative and her staff (Sorie and Emma) were super friendly, helpful, and easily accessible. The location was good for us on Spur road. It was easy to get Kekes. And the property was overall quiet and peaceful. Unfortunately, there was a power problem in that area of Freetown during our trip, which affected some of the appliances/ A/C effectiveness, but this wasn’t Ann-Marie’s fault or in her control. So, it’s good to be aware of that any time someone is traveling to Freetown.

I am very happy that I stayed at Mr. Sewanus house during the 6 weeks I was in Freetown! The location is great (close to everything), the room was nice and comfy and I also enjoyed very much sitting on the balcony after work and watching the busy street life. Mr. Sewanus assistant Sahr is incredibly kind, polite and helpful. The room was cleaned very regularly which was very nice and unexpected. It´s also always nice and interesting to having a chat with changing guests in the house. However, mostly I am thankful for Mr. Sewanus great hospitality and helpfulness in any kind of situation. I will be back, thanks very much for everything!

Green Bamboo Extended Stay

I really enjoyed my stay at Green Bamboo. Sewanu is easy to communicate with and very helpful as well as funny. The house is close to transport. Especially recommended for first time visitors to Freetown. I hope to be coming back soon.
