If your kids are used to eating early (say 5.30pm), plan carefully as restaurants will be closed. But the pizzeria in Camporovere opens at 6.30pm..

Malgas for fresh cheese...
The Altopiano is famous for cheese. In the summer, the Malgas (farmhouses in the mountains) serve simple dishes - salami, cheese, pasta etc.. washed down with some local wine. It's an experience not to be missed.. eBikes are a fantastic way to reach these sometimes remote spots.

Shops on the altopiano typically open between 8 and 12, and 4-7. The vast majority of shops are closed between 12 and 4, even during high season (July/August).
