The pizza here is probably the best in our area. It’s about a half hour from our house. Call to make sure of their closing time. We’ve cut it close a time or two by getting there close to 8pm.

This is a beautiful restaurant with decor based on typical alpine style. Creative choices for the bar, wine list and cocktails. Fantastic appetizers, and the mains range from good to great.

This is one of the hottest non-natural attractions in our area. West Kill Brewing has been an up and coming boutique brewer for about 4 years now and has excellent reviews. Visit the beautiful tap bar, with plenty of outdoor seating and fire pits.
They also have an assortment of food trucks that are there on any given day. Food can be excellent, but also can be a bit pricey.

They also have an assortment of food trucks that are there on any given day. Food can be excellent, but also can be a bit pricey.

It is the tallest mountain in our general area with a fire tower on top with wonderful views of the entire Catskill region.

Magnificent falls. Taller than Niagara. It's better after a rain, but the newly expanded trail next to the falls is always a pleasure to walk and see. If you want to avoid the crowds, go during the week. Be careful to only parking in legal parking spots. The town of Hunter gets a fair amount of their budget by giving out parking tickets to tourists for parking illegally.

There are numerous incredible trails in this park. Be sure to go to the escarpment trail where you will see stunning views of 5 states on a clear day, 2 minutes from the parking lot. You can walk on the trail for as little as you want, or go the whole 23 miles.

874 N Lake RdThere are numerous incredible trails in this park. Be sure to go to the escarpment trail where you will see stunning views of 5 states on a clear day, 2 minutes from the parking lot. You can walk on the trail for as little as you want, or go the whole 23 miles.
There is swimming, boating, fishing and kinds of outdoor activities.
Through this park you have access to wonderful hiking trails and to the highest mountain in the Catskills; Slide Mountain. You can take day hikes up Wittenburg and Cornel. Or backpack up to Slide.

The trails are good for all levels of skiing. The snow making here is the best of all of the local areas. They are masters.
