For 50 years the Paolo Soleri Studios have produced a wide range of bronze and aluminum sculptural pieces renowned the world over - especially known for their bell. The bronze and aluminum foundry at Cosanti typically pour a hundred pounds of bronze a day, with an average of 50 bells a heat. To walk through he grounds and to hear the bells is very unique. Cosanti is open from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Sunday, and closed only on major holidays. Absolutely the best place to go for a morning stroll. Listen to the animals as they wake up to start their day. I recommend getting there when the gates open and leaving around 11:00 when the tourists show up.

I am a life-time member and never get tired of seeing the creatures of the sea. I can sit for hours in front of the penguins. It does not compare with Monterrey or Mystic, but sure does hold it's own for an aquarium in the desert. Best part it that the complex where it is located has so many more things to see and do also.
