THE BEST AREA restaurant - no need to go to Carmel or Pebble Beach. Just walk up your street and sample the first sustainable fish/wine list. Ridiculously good.

Historic setting with amazing walk along a boardwalk through dune habitat (you feel like you are the only person on earth) to Asilomar State Beach. Great food in the large dining hall. Make sure to sit on the large deck at the Lodge (where there are free pool tables), and watch the sunset with a cocktail.

Getting Around
Kayak, bike and surrey rental along the prettiest coastline in California where you can see seals pupping, sea otters and passing whales. Amazing. At the top of Lover's Point beach which is at the end of 18th Street (your street!)
