This breakfast spot is a must stop. It's a family owned business and the owners are super nice. Their iced lattes are the best in town. The owners are friendly and go out of their way to make your visit special. They always remember our names and make sure you are taken care of. All coffees are served with a biscuit which reminds me of the Dutch hospitality. In addition to the yummy coffee, they have delicious food that never disappoints.

Baltimore or DC by Train
The MARC train station is just an 8 minute walk, 4 min bicycle ride, or 2 min car ride away. There are 4 daily trains from Frederick to Washington DC. Traveling usually takes around 2 hours and 37 minutes, but the fastest Amtrak train can make the trip in one hour and 58 minutes.
No direct train from Frederick to Baltimore but you can transfer to Baltimore Penn Station via Washington Union Station. The journey, including transfers takes approximately 2h 24m.
Full-size bicycles, e-bikes, and scooters are permitted on all MARC trains on all three lines.

Don't miss Frederick County's single largest event, featuring 18,000 competitive exhibits, ranging from livestock, home arts, farm & garden to 4-H/FFA. A premier showcase for agriculture and education. There is no shortage of notable live entertainment. From world famous country singers to a demolition derby, the grandstand is full of activity every night of the week.
The fairgrounds is 3 minutes by car, 21 minutes by foot, and 8 minutes by bicycle. Ubers and Lyfts are easy to catch from right outside the house and will take you directly to the fairgrounds.

1. Drive the Journey Through Hallowed Ground National Scenic Byway between Emmitsburg, Frederick, and Point of Rocks for stunning views of the MD countryside and attractions throughout the region.

Sailing Through The Winter Solstice
Every year Carroll Creek Park is filled with individually designed lighted sailboats. This floating light installation sets sail in November and is on display through March.
You can view the boats anytime day or night. In fact, you may want to take a look while it's light out and again after it gets dark and the lights come on. Lights typically turn on at sunset, so this is a great time to see them both ways.
Sailing Through the Winter Solstice is a fundraiser - visitors can vote on their favorite boat, with donations supporting local non-profit organizations.
