Koivikon Kievari is located in the historical Koivikko Manor, in the heart of the most beautiful Karelian nature, near the crystalline lake Pyhäjärvi. The mansion is only 10 minutes drive away from the center of Kitee.

Juhanantupa is an attraction. House logs are carved by hands. There is a monumental stone oven and Leo Karppanen elaborately carved works. The artist Leo Karppanen sculptures throbbing Kalevala theme. Annually changing exhibitions.
A short walk from the nature trail is an ancient sacrificial stone.

Everyone is basically entitled to walk, ski, cycle or ride freely in natural areas, as long as this causes no damage or no more than minor harm to property or nature. This right does not cover private yards. And as long as the fruits of the forest are not protected species, flowers, wild berries and mushrooms may be picked freely wherever everyman’s right applies.

Milling path is about 1,5 km long and presents the natural and cultural history of Kesälahti. Cafeteria sells soft drinks, coffee with home baked goods and local books.
