Bacton is a village on the north Norfolk coast. You can walk for miles along the coastal path. The beach immediately behind Gracie's Beach Hideaway is dog friendly all year round. Drive west towards Cromer with its Victorian pier and famed Cromer crabs, or further to Sheringham with the National Trust park and its heritage steam railway. Walk east about an hour to Happisburgh lighthouse, the only independently run lighthouse in Great Britain. Bacton has a local store with good provisions, and most supermarkets deliver to the home. There is a Chinese, fish and chips and kebab/pizza house within walking distance. Cafe Watsons serves delicious fry ups, light lunches, cakes and ice cream. Cafe Carmel serves divine vegan meals and home made cakes, and is easily accessible from the back of the home through the public walkway. Open Sat evenings too in the summer. 15 minutes walk from the home down quiet Church Road takes you to Coastal Reflexology, where you can enjoy a reiki massage and reflexology. The local pub Poachers Pocket is just 15 minutes stroll, and is dog friendly. There is live music, and food is served all day. The market town of North Walsham is worth exploring, and the historic city of Norwich is only 35 minutes drive. You can also hire a boat and explore the Norfolk Broads from Wroxham.
