This is an obvious must do. Consider going at night! All of the monuments are really cool to see lit up.
Directions: Walk to the eastern market metro, take the Blue/Orange/Silver lines. Get off 3 stops later at Smithsonian. You’ll pop up in the middle of the mall!

You can easily walk up to it by taking the Smithsonian stop on the metro. But from the Airbnb, it’s a 20 minute walk down East Capitol Street. Enjoy the walk!

The neighborhood is so cool to walk around. So many beautiful homes, great stores to shop, and fun places to get a snack or drink. There is no metro station in Georgetown, so you’re best best is to drive or Uber.

The Nationals Park is in a cool part of town called Navy Yard. Grab a beer or a meal before the game in Navy Yard and walk over. We are only a 30 minute walk from the stadium, so if Ubers are a little crazy, just walk it on back.

We are a 7 minute walk to the Eastern Market metro!
Take this metro to the National Mall (Smithsonian exit) or anywhere downtown. Download the SmarTrip app on your phone and create a metro card. Once you do that, add some money to the card and use the reader on your phone at the station to enter. I find that using Google maps is really helpful for finding which lines to take and when they run.
