Some Italian Dubliners say it's the best Italian restaurant of Dublin, not a secret spot but definitely not touristy. We know the owner and love to listen to him speaking about his last designed menu and its fresh ingredients sometimes directly imported from his family in Italy. They have very good deals for lunch but also very nice for diner. It's cosy and humble atmosphere and good value for money.

It's a neighbourhood cafe and I have to say I was very positively surprised when it opened couple of years ago. They do very tasty food with also good choice of healthy juices and breakfast - brunch: I definitely recommend it! It's two minutes walk from home: ideal for lazy mornings :)

They do very tasty food with also good choice of healthy juices and breakfast - brunch: I definitely recommend it! It's two minutes walk from home: ideal for lazy mornings :)

Here is the best local pub of the area! We love to go there and meet friend, it is never really crowdy which is nice because it keeps its family atmosphere. Mostly locals are going there, they sometimes organize small comedy shows and live music. They also do their own craft beer, getting more and more popular, ideal place for nice chats and meet locals.

Who would say "go to the beach in Dublin"? :) Well, here is a nice beach not too far from our house (@1 hour walk). It's a very nice walk and ideal for a run (13km return) you'll cross Fairview Park which is a pleasant family friendly park and walk along the Clontarf seafront promenade which I love whenever I want to get away from the city or have some fresh air. Bull Island is famous for kite surfing, because yes it can be windy in Ireland and is very low tide so you can have very long walk on the beach with a very nice view on Howth , the sea and the iconic The Poolbeg Stacks.

Very nice park to have a walk or picnic. It has lot to offer between secret trails and outdoor games for children. Also very nice food market on Saturdays morning
