most antibiotics do not require a prescription here in Mexico. If you need to purchase any type of medicine you can do so at Roma pharmacies or Mas Barrata pharmacies which is MUCH cheaper.
Crossing the border with these medications should not be an issue as long as you do not have mass quantities.

it's customary unfortunately to be bothered by police while driving and sometime walking.
don't let this scare you.
police are here to bother you only for money but at times get nasty in doing so.
remain calm and polite and generally sliding them cash behind your ID will make many problems go away.
