Beautiful natural beach and historic lighthouse. State park is well maintained and has bathrooms as well as a playground. Trails through a jungle of palm trees and marsh make it the perfect spot for walking and biking. You can also camp at Hunting Island state park.

Historic downtown and waterfront park is my favorite part of Beaufort. There is a fully fenced playground right near the water -perfect for families with small children to enjoy. Great options for waterfront dining, coffee spots, and restaurants. Local shops with a variety of fun shopping. Enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride through the historic neighborhoods, or take a tour by water with a kayak or dolphin tour from the marina.
