Known for its educational institutions, green spaces and architecture, Roland Park is also home to an abundance of local shops and restaurants. Classic French bistro, Petit Louis, and Johnny’s, serving west coast cuisine, are both co-owned by James Beard award-nominated chef Cindy Wolf. There’s something for everyone at R. House, a former auto body shop turned food hall. Inspired by the cool and kid-friendly food halls in Brooklyn, the ten founding chefs at R. House believed that uniting was the best way to create a community dedicated to culinary experimentation. Located in Baltimore’s Remington neighborhood, less than a mile from Johns Hopkins University, each stall features popular cuisine like poké bowls, shwarma, fried chicken sandwiches, and New Orleans-inspired soul food.

For you Crab Lover's

If you don’t want to go through all the work of picking your own crabs, your next best bet is a crab cake (jumbo lump and no filler whenever possible). Faidley’s Seafood has been serving softball sized crab cakes since 1886. Oprah Winfrey (who started her career in Baltimore) is a big fan of Pappas Seafood Co. crab cakes. Seasoned locals might also mention Costas Inn, Gertrude’s (which also offers a vegan option), Jimmy’s Famous Seafood and Koco’s Pub.
