Elterwater makes a perfect base from which to explore the best of what the Lake District has to offer. Close to the villages of Ambleside and Grasmere and ideally situated as a start point to hike, ride or climb up one of the classic fells of the Langdale Valley and beyond.
The Britannia Inn pub is much loved by locals and visitors alike, while the Eltermere Inn and nearby Chesters Cafe also offer excellent food options within walking distance.
