In recent years, the homeless population have created an encampment in this area of Venice Beach. It’s become a difficult place to visit. Be aware, and be careful if you choose to visit.
We recommend the beach at the end of Washington Blvd if you want to enjoy the waves and the sun.

Shopping
A 5-minute drive up Sepulveda, Trader Joe’s is a favorite place for many of our guests to get the staples for a meal, beverages, and some fun picnic and sightseeing snacks. It’s also next to a CVS drug store that has many common necessities. I do not recommend trying to walk- it is a little over a mile, up hill, and past an encampment.

Ralph’s is the closest full grocery store, 1 mile from our home. If you choose to walk, please go along Washington Blvd, as it is the more pleasant, safer route. There is a Rite Aid drug store, a Best Buy electronics store, and many restaurants in that same shopping complex.
