The marsh land is covered with boardwalks and trails. You will get a lot of bird watching in and probably will catch a few critters and deer moving around. It’s beautiful with the trees changing in the fall and lookouts.

I often go hiking or snowshoeing on the Bruce Trail in my spare time so I’ve accumulated a lot of favourites! If you want me to leave some maps of favourites close by let me know! Check out the pics of very local trails 😍 🌲

Sightseeing
One of the highlights of Owen Sound. It’s a quick drive just west of Rockford. After parking take a walk across the bridge and hop off trail towards the left. This is a good spot to see the falls away from other people on weekends. If you have a bit of time plan a hike to the base of the falls. These trails mostly lead down to Harriston Park.

This is a good spot to see the falls away from other people on weekends. If you have a bit of time plan a hike to the base of the falls. These trails mostly lead down to Harriston Park.
I use to work here in the summer as a kid, it’s an easy place to fall in love with. There is a river that runs through the park and you can meander beside it on the walking trails. A few things to check out while you are there:
- weavers creek waterfall - on a trail behind the swimming pool building.
- the birds and geese feeding area - bring some bread or you can grab kernels of corn from

- the “island” - beautiful bridge on the north side

If COVID19 would straighten up, this is a great spot to checkout on weekends. There is a store front with very unique vintage items and plants, which is a local fav too. You access the upstairs concert hall at on the street. As soon as you step in the door you are on the staircase and head up the the hall. It has a calm aesthetic and has a bar. Some times it is locals, tribute bands and Ontario artists on tour! Cool spot to just even check out all the woodwork they have done inside.

939 2nd Ave EIf COVID19 would straighten up, this is a great spot to checkout on weekends. There is a store front with very unique vintage items and plants, which is a local fav too. You access the upstairs concert hall at on the street. As soon as you step in the door you are on the staircase and head up the the hall. It has a calm aesthetic and has a bar. Some times it is locals, tribute bands and Ontario artists on tour! Cool spot to just even check out all the woodwork they have done inside.

Casero’s is my favourite spot to eat if I go out! It’s a cozy restaurant with a little bar inside and always friendly staff! If you like Mexican food then this is a must while you are close by! Reserve ahead but if they are full ask about sitting at the bar, it’s usually the best seat because you can ask the waiters about the different types of food and drinks they are making!
