Exmouth beach is a must! 2 miles of Sandy beach stretching from the Marina at one end to Orcombe Point and the Jurassic coast at the other. Always plenty going on including water sports, land train, boat trips, open top bus rides and walks across the cliff top to Sandy Bay. Lots of places to stop and eat and drink including the new Mickeys beach bar and restaurant ran by Michael Caines of Lympstone Manor. The cycle path runs along the length of the promenade and bikes can be hired from Exmouth town centre which is a short walk away. Only a 5 minute drive from The Curlew or one stop on the train from the village or the number 57 bus which takes you into the town square.

City/town information

Exeter City is only a 20 minute drive or take the train from Lympstone Village to Exeter Central or the number 57 bus from The Saddlers pub just outside The Curlew. Highly recommended for its historical buildings such as the magnificent Cathedral. The RAM museum is well worth a visit and is just along from the station and free to enter. Obviously a must for keen shoppers for a bit of retail therapy. All the usual stores plus more unique and quirky shops in the famous Gandy Street. Many places to eat and drink with the famous The Ivy which opened last year. Worth going just to admire the decor! The Quay is also lovely for a walk along the river with a stop off to eat and drink and browse the craft shops.
