Besides its televised coverage of delicious fire-grilled artichokes, mom's sloppy joes and public house meatballs, their burgers are fantastic. My favorite adult beverage here is jalapeno margaritas. If they're not on the menu...just ask.

Located on Meridian next to the railroad tracks downtown, the pizza here is worth a train whistle. My favorite is "Take the A Train" but all are delicious. Take the family for dinner, or stop in for a quick lunch special combo. You'll be glad you did.

Charlie's has the best salad bar in town, but I love their French Dip sandwiches and fish and chips as well. Locals hang out in the bar here because its a great place to relax after work with good people. This is my favorite go-to place for lunch in downtown Puyallup. They serve delicious soups, salads and sandwiches with unique daily menu specials. Small, quaint and close by, they also have wonderful desserts. Get them to go if you can.

While this my menu favorite, all of their menu items and drinks are really good. In sunny weather, the outdoor patio is great. And inside, its quaint and quiet and your meals and beverages are served by quality staff that give each guest special treatment. Chef Tom is often seen chatting with patrons and asking if they are enjoying their meal. If you're here in March, Martini Madness is a crowd pleasing month-long event worth experiencing. And you get to keep your martini glass. Cheers!

It's also a good place to schedule a work lunch or private dinner for two. Meals are always delicious at Mama Stortini's.

Or order "the Pretzel" which is a meal unto itself and comes with several dipping mustards. Say hi to Karl, the owner, when you're there. He's a hoot and loves tourists who come to Puyallup.

A pioneer and strong advocate for preserving the Oregon Trail, Ezra Meeker is a prominent character in our nation's pioneer history.
