Nice old harbor with small and ancient ships - good for a walk around. I would recommend to go from there to the beach club called "Strandperle" (nice when the weather is good). You reach Övelgönne best by Bus (112) from central train station.

I would recommend to explore the Treppenviertel, walk along the Elbe direction Hamburg city and take the public ferry from Teufelsbrück to Landungsbrücken. Takes around 4-6 hours I guess.
