Welcome to the Market!
Rochester's City-run Public Market has served the community at its 280 North Union Street site since 1905, and is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, year-round. Vendors--occupying over 300 vending stalls on busiest Saturdays--offer local produce; produce from around the country and world; meats and seafood; eggs and dairy products; ethnic delicacies; prepared and packaged foods; specialty items; general merchandise; and more in three covered outdoor vendor sheds and also a fully indoor shed. In addition, an array of independent local businesses--cafes, food stands, coffee shops, specialty food purveyors, breweries, retail shops, and more--can be found on Market grounds and in the surrounding Market District.

Powers Farm Market has been a popular market and seasonal destination since our beginnings as a modest truck stand in the early 1960's. Today, Powers Farm Market is a thriving, beloved community landmark that has flourished throughout the years. Along with our top-quality Powers-grown produce, our Market is also famous for it's delicious baked goods, beautiful flowers and plants, and unique, one-of-a-kind gifts and treasures.
Today, the dairy cows have been replaced with sheep, donkeys, alpacas, goats, chickens, and deer, which the public have access to at the Market. The cow pastures have been replaced by sweetcorn, pumpkins, asparagus, berries, sunflowers, and Christmas trees, all available at Powers.

Wednesday night is 1/2 off all glasses and bottles of wine. Scallops are amazing, as well as the steak and burger. Wedge salad is one of my favorites with it's twist of spiced cashews. Oh, the chicken cutlet on the bed of greens is delis too!

Opening to much acclaim in 2006, REDD offered a contemporary interpretation of Wine Country cuisine that referenced his own classic French training and incorporated a variety of ethnic influences, reflecting his prior 15-year plus epicurean journey.
