Sightseeing
A beautiful small town in the mountains. Go up past Cauterêts and visit Pont D'Espagne. You pay 7 euros for parking then walk or take the cable car up. Again you pay. It really is worth the contribution for this beautifully kept place. There are a couple of wonderful restaurants, one near the top of the cable car and one further up at the Lac de Gaube. In summer it can be busy so get up early and enjoy the cooler air for your climb.

A great day out with a walk to Europe's highest waterfall. Restaurant half way. You can stay along the bottom path, which offers spectacular views in itself, or take a path from the start that takes you up higher - you need to be fit for that one!
In summer, there can be theatre showings. Check availability.

The lake is beautiful to walk or cycle around. Have a picnic lunch there. You can walk all the way along the CaminAdour to Tarbes . . .but it's a long way back! Go as far as you please! Generally flat and accessible.

Beautiful old castle on a round walk if you want to mix monuments with exercise. You can pay to enter the castle or you can walk around the grounds, drop down the hillside and see their re-enactment sites.

Eat at L'Epicurien in the evenings or at Bar Le Familia at lunchtimes. Typically midday and 8pm for mealtimes.
