Typical Food and wine festivals
Since May many local associations organize food and wine festivals. Every one is dedicated to a typical local meal. In May: ‘sagra del tortello’ maremmano, hand made pasta filled with ricotta cheese and spinach, in Poggioferro (15 min far) ; the sagra dello strozzaprete, typical local hand made pasta, held in Murci. In August, the mushroom soup festival in Pomonte (15 min). During the autumn months, in the nearby mountain villages, chestnut festivals are held.

Own vehicle
We are in the Maremma hinterland between the mountains and the sea. It is recommended to have a vehicle, car, motorbike or bicycle, as there are few buses
