Neighborhoods
Principe Real is a distinct neighbourhood with beautiful architecture, gardens and full of energy and glamour. It is the main spot for local fashion designers, hip restaurants and art galleries. Right next door is Bairro Alto with its lively nightlife, bars and people socialising on the street and Chiado, with more options for shopping, restaurants and theatres. The "Avenida da Liberdade" with its luxury brand stores, is also super close. All this easily within walking distance.
Despite all these attractions in one place this, it still has a local feel, with amazing coffee shops, typical food and arts and crafts markets.
It is close to the the underground (Rato station on the yellow line), to the famous tram 28, and has all the modern mobility options such as electric scooters and electric motorbikes.
Parking is either paid or reserved for residents. There are a couple of paid garages that I suggest.

Perfect for breakfast and has one of the best brunches in town - on Sunday! Must try the croissants, the "pastel de massa tenra" and the warm "pastel de nata" that they keep next to the counter.

The best steak in town and open until 2 am! Vintage, warm decoration, classy and traditional. Everything if fantastic, from the warm bread, to the soft steak with a delicious sauce, thinly cut fries and the taste tatin to finish off.

Best spot to park if you have a car, 4 minutes from my door and there's always a spot!
You can also play paddle, swim in 50 a metre pool and go to the gym here if you wish.

This place is related to Lux (the top disco in Lisbon) and it's great to start off your night or get and early sleep. It starts warming up at around 11pm so feel before the usual 2 am for most discos in Lisbon. Great house music and dance vibe with very dark lighting and a mirror ball

Transporte
underground, tram and walk!
The underground, is a great option and will get you everywhere, the station is Rato on the yellow line.
Take the 28 tram that starts close to the house (in front of the Parliament on Rua de São Bento), despite being full of tourists it is the most charming tram route in Lisbon.
I wouldn't use the electric scooters a lot because our streets and kind of bumpy...rather walk because the area is full of sight to see, songs to listen and people to smile at. The scooters are fun if you use them by the river side =)
