Sightseeing

My place is next to Cevizli Station of Marmaray ( The main metro train line of Istanbul, passing through Bosphorus.) You can use Marmaray and go directly to the old city. It is easy to park at my place (there is indoor parking) but you have to use public transport for the old city. (Use Marmaray) It is very difficult parking there.

It is one of the most energetic streets of Istanbul. Since we are a Mediterranean country, streets are very important in our culture. Shops, restaurants, street musicians, cafes, bars. You can feel the soul of İstanbul.

Topkapı, Kadıköy, Taksim, Beşiktaş are four traditional centers of the old İstanbul. To feel the soul of İstanbul, I recommend to visit and stay in, all these centers. You can go to Kadıköy from my flat through "small blue minibus" we call them "dolmuş" in Turkish. They are accepting cash. And their price is half US dollar. They are working 7x24. Kadıköy is their last stop. And my flat is next to this line. (They do not have any station. You can rise your hand they will stop and take you)

Istanbul public transportation city card, Coffee, Tea, water

I am providing Istanbul city card for public transportation. It is needed when using public transport. "Tea" in Turkey is rather different than in England. "Coffee" in Turkey usually "Turkish coffee". It is again different. You may try. But if you prefer you can go to international cafes like Starbucks. Water in Turkey is always free of gas. If you prefer with gas try soda.
