Recreation
OMG! Most awesome drive to the lake through Whetstone (north of Huachuca City) and Patagonia, especially in late August. Park very well maintained. Fun, fishing, camping, swimming, and birdwatching! Stop to eat at the Wagon Wheel Saloon in Patagonia. Try the Sonoran (bacon wrapped) hotdog! Plan on about 1.25 hour drive each way. Well worth it.

400 Patagonia Lake RdOMG! Most awesome drive to the lake through Whetstone (north of Huachuca City) and Patagonia, especially in late August. Park very well maintained. Fun, fishing, camping, swimming, and birdwatching! Stop to eat at the Wagon Wheel Saloon in Patagonia. Try the Sonoran (bacon wrapped) hotdog! Plan on about 1.25 hour drive each way. Well worth it.

Historical ranch site which provided beef to the troops at Fort Huachuca. Gorgeous Ramsey Canyon is well-treed, cooler temps, & lots of wildlife. Brown'sTrailhead is well travelled on horseback or foot; dog walk. 10 minutes from my home.

Maggie, the owner, is from Okinawa and she is a real treasure LOVED by the community! The food and conversation are so genuine, you'll be a convert, even if you think you don't like Japanese food. Relaxing, laid back atmosphere...like going to your grandma's house. Opens at 4:30pm Mon-Sat. An absolute MUST go. Bring your appetite and accept her recommendations.
