Sightseeing near Almasaba Beach House
Enjoy the beautiful walks up and down the coastline. Apart from the highly therapeutic sea breeze (known for it's high mineral content) and roaring waves, enjoy the biodiversity as you observe the plants and animals in the vast ecologically protected dunes along the well trodden path of the pilgrim's way to Santiago, Spain. Stop at the various cafes along the way for an ice cream or coffee and enjoy nature at it's best, unspoilt.

The traditional fishing village of Angeiras is only a short walk away. There you can find traditional fishing boats and see fishermen mending their nets. Angeiras is not only home of the best fish market in Porto, but naturally also where you will find the best fish restaurants that serve the most delicious local food - direct from ocean to plate. It's difficult to resist the smell of the outdoor grills emanating from the numerous restaurants that line the street of this charming village. The walk getting there provides a feast for the eyes but once you arrive you will be rewarded with yet another feast all together.

The city park in Porto is a great place to visit. Especially with kids. It is home to the Water Pavillion, an interactive museum filled with fun water installations to experiment with. The park is vast and provides ample opportunity to picnic or simply enjoy being surrounded by trees. It offers dedicated football, volleyball and basketball areas as well as numerous trails ideal for jogging or cycling. It also has several cafes. A personal favourite is Soundwich where you can get the most delicious sandwiches for lunch. Follow the route around the park and find the exit connecting to the beach. It provides the best of both worlds to relax or invigorate.
