Folks used to gather at this place to watch nuclear bomb tests. Radiation free, the bar has the best beer selection in Vegas and a hip mix of both young and old, tourist and local. [It also happens to be where Cathy and I met and fell in love, so it's near and dear to our hearts--and so feel free to ask us to join you if you want company!]

This is a local's secret spot that we really can't recommend enough. Golden Tiki is nestled right in the middle of China Town, so it's best enjoyed after some delicious Asian cuisine or Crawfish (one block away--Hot n Juicy's). You've never seen a bar like this. Trust us. Order any of the Rum drinks with Dole Whip in them (Pain Killer is delicious!). And make sure you Uber home ... [Warning: smoking allowed inside. We don't like this either, but the bar is just soooo unique we frequent it anyway]

This is an excellent use of 4 hours of your time. It's easy to forget America's fascination with the atom bomb and the implications of that fascination. The museum does an excellent job of teaching and entertaining. And make sure you sit in on the atomic bomb test simulation in Ground Zero Theater!

This place is just the coolest. Watch Casino before you visit and make sure you take a stroll down Freemont and walk into the iconic El Cortez afterward.

You know how bowling alleys are fun even if you suck at bowling? Topgolf is a bowling alley for golf. It can be pricey if you aren't in a group of 6 or more. But it is a blast. They have clubs, swing coaches, beers, and tons of TVs. Great way to spend an evening and VERY close to our condo.
