Sightseeing

New Bern is full of history and my place is located just two blocks from Downtown shopping/dining. There are several tours that can be purchased online to get the real New Bern experience. Be that in the historic Tryon Palace, ghost walk tour, trolly tour or a tour of the river by boat. The grand marina is 5 blocks from my place. That is where the boat tours are located. For dining I highly recommend Kuma, Thai Angel, The Chelsea and MJ's Raw Bar and grill. The last two offer outside dining. For American cuisine, Morgans Tavern is delicious, also has outdoor dining if you want to bring your pups. If you’re in the mood for more fancy dining then give the Cypress Hall a try you can’t go wrong with anything there. Memaws Strawberry cake for dessert is to die for!! Baxters 1892 on pollock street has hand crafted cocktails including a smoked old fashioned that is hard to beat anywhere. they also have Indoor dining and live music most days. There is also ive music at pinky’s pub upstairs, Harry’s Blind Tiger the Pourhouse, Blackbeard’s restaurant and bar, Bootleggers whiskey bar and occasionally at Lawsons Landing. If you’re feeling adventurous then go down to Beary the Hatchet located on S front street for a axe throwing pool and arcade games such good time!!! Saturday’s the farmers market is a must do. Lots of local art/food etc. Lawsons Landing is a A perfect place to go for lunch. Later on if you’re so inclined get a Bottle of wine at the Confluence on the water (located in the double tree hotel) have some delicious appetizers and take in the view of the marina and bridges. Above all!!! Have fun and enjoy this spectacular little town I call home. We New Bernians motto is “live your vacation”. Thanks
